Or they use tax money to buy blood. People sell blood for money after all and they don’t care where that blood goes once they get paid in a buzzfeed video it said that, in us, blood is cheaper than ink

Edit: Also, funny that we were talking about blood donors yesterday, because I just got a call from the Central Blood Bank—“Did you know that there’s no substute for human blood?” What creepy way to begin a phone call.

The Red Cross came to our university once and they took a permit to turn one of the classrooms into a hospital room for blood donations. And there were three women at the hallway, asking students “Have you eaten breakfast?” And if you said “Yes” they would try to pressure you into donating blood. “You have plenty, others need it so let us take some” is also creepy, but the phone thing is creepier…

The 14th of June is World Blood Donor Day. There are a ton of good reasons to donate, and they’re not wrong that there’s no substitute, but possibly not the best lead-in, yeah.
Also, not gonna requote you from the same post, but I LOVED your application of “make a man out of you” lines for UB. Perfection!

Just popping on to say I’ll be on vacation next week (which I know won’t make much difference here as I’m not on much, sorry!).
