The Wayhaven Chronicles: Book One (Discussion) FAQ Located on Post 2

I kind of like that flirt points don’t matter after locking romance (excluding the triangle of pain) because it encourages me to do things with vamps other than the RO to get friendship points, and I don’t feel like I have to pick every interaction with them to get the ‘best ending’ or anything like that.

In regards to having a main collection of information: Maybe at some point (after more books come out? idk) the fandom may benefit from having its own wikia? Not sure if that’s a thing with CoG games.

You made me quote you to be actually able to read that small text.

You can do a wiki, yes, in fact zombie exodus has one. And it would be idd a great idea. But…

I also thought the first thing. The other thing is also high on my probability list, much more than what was hypothesized above.

The fact is, nobody really knows, but I love the guessing.

I thought that option was for Morgan only as I was under the impression that it was just one of the differences in the scene due to gender. I figured Mason is too dominant a personality to let that happen to him, but Morgan would let it happen for the MC to get closer.

@Vicarious I also agree a wiki could be good. Maybe after the 2nd book. Although I think we’ll have to be careful and have sections for theories because I see things on here people are presenting as kind of factual when in essence, it’s not been confirmed.

I want to third that a Wiki would be a good idea! Though waiting till after the second book would probably be best!

Ah, it might be that then. But I know for sure that this was suppose to be an option for all the Detectives. So, I can’t wait to have some of those opportunities for sure

I’ll probably try to set it up while we wait for Book 2 over the weekend. XD

Feel free to let me know if you want any help! I did not suggest it just to sit back and watch other people do all the work, lol.

Only thing is that I play on steam and do not have easy access to coding, so will be no good at trawling through it for information on that front.

Omg, you are a creature of good will and patience. Thank you so so much for even trying doing it. You are amazing, girl

I don’t have much free time, but tomorrow is my last day of the week and then I got two days off, so if you need some help searching for references or something let me know

@Vicarious You can look at the coding having it on steam. I even have a folder with all the scenes already there. If you don’t know how to look at it you can give me your email and I could send it to you

@Vicarious and @Meira_Litch

Thank you for the offer of help. Looking forward to your help with this project. I want to help this fandom as much as possible like @rose-court and the rest of you do. XD

You made me go “owwwwww” in real life and had the urge to just grab you and be “you are so cute”.

Hope you don’t mind :joy:

I would also like to offer my assistance in any way possible!!

I will welcome any help offered. XD I am just glad that this doesn’t need any guide to be honest.

Edit 1: Just want to add: the angst ratings for each route during Book 5 will be over 10 so newcomers, you’ve been warned!

LOL! Even my emotion-avoiding MC would laugh at that, then quickly try to hide it.

I do, too, I just meant that I wish those flirt points could transfer to friend points instead of just losing them altogether. Especially since losing them means the MC is way closer to Nate and Felix than Mason. If the flirt points went to friend points (or just to M, in general, like points for the captain and mayor or whatever), then the MC would be closest to Mason.

Agreed about Mason. He’s just full on alpha male. I just picture the relationship between him and a non-blushing type MC as a constant battle for dominance between them. He can win it, but that doesn’t mean she’ll make it easy on him or ever stop keeping him on his toes with it, lol.

Like Vicarious and others, I’m willing to help as well. My job is to sit in front of a computer constantly, so it’s no trouble to have one more thing to do on it, lol.

Thanks for the warning. I will definitely stop at the end of 4, then, and may just wait till the other three come out before starting 5, no matter how tempted I may be. Unless I get enough spoilers to make the end of the book tolerable!

The thing is, tho, that just by picking M’s route you are closer to them than the rest of UB. The points were just to determine how some scenes played out. Now you can interact pretty much however you want with M but you’re locked into their romance.

You don’t have worry much about those friendship points. Sera mentioned that friendship between the MC and the UB will grow organically throughout the series so there’s no worry isolating other members of UB.

I don’t mind at all! I love when people jump in!

Only for my female Unit Bravo playthrough—she would insist everyone start calling her ‘Charlie’ so that she can call Unit Bravo her Angels, lol. cue Ava’s eyes rolling into the back of her head, lol

Otherwise, Charlotte doesn’t have a set nickname, though I always thought Lottie was a sweet pet name, but maybe only something Rebecca would call her and maybe also Tina because Tina is the best.

I mean…F seems like they’d be a pretty rad monarch, I wouldn’t mind serving under them, lol

IT FITS.

Also, how dare you.

The issue with that is that Sera’s never actually answered anything like that, so there’s no specific number, only vague guessing. I mean, she hasn’t even explicitly said that N and F’s romance starts in Book Two, that’s all our assumption.

If anyone can prove me wrong and find Sera answering definitively—even if she’s only talking about one member of Unit Bravo—then I would be glad to add it, but as it is, I try to avoid adding speculation.

Hmm, I coulda sworn I already added something about the flirt stats.

Uh, I can actually make a wiki right now if everyone wants to…

edit:

Also, in the meantime @EvilChani while we figure out what’s gonna happen to the wiki, you might want to check out the Romance and Gender Questions section of the FAQ. A lot of your questions and concerns are addressed there.

What @Mewsly said. Once you lock the romance, points are irrelevant with everyone else. You will be closer to your RO no matter what. The friend points are there just to determine to who you are closer as friends, not as a potential RO.

And about the alpha male. I HATE the alpha male stuff so deeply lmao. As soon a guy comes to me with the alpha male bullshit (to me) is an instant shut down. Nothing turns me off more than a arrogant guy who thinks I will accept him as more dominant than me.

Which brings me back to, I can’t wait to pin Mason down >:D

sex and kink references here

This is why I know the sexual relationship with Mason will never be anything remotely close to kink. My MC will have sex where she is the dominant one, or at minimum sex that is 100% equal. As soon Mason tries to pull any dominance over her, the mood will be ruined.

The closest thing I’ve found so far is this ask

So it really just depends on the character. We can make assumptions based on their personality but it’s just assumptions for now. The most we know is A is a slow burn, N will be ready for a serious relationship early in the books since that’s the set up for the Angst Trinagle and M is ready to smash.

M is a birb, confirmed

I literally just looked up those gifs to post oh my god

I am excited to see how things continue in Book 2. Who wants to take bets on which vamp gets the first smooch opportunity? My money in on F. F is probably putting on lip balm getting ready for smooches as we speak type?
