I prefer cold M. More snuggles and sheet sharing that way. I doubt they’d get to close to us if they gets to hot. Or maybe that’s exactly why they’re hot .
It is based on a book from what I remember and I only just remembered that I watched the movie version so I have a vague memory about it.
This was probably because HP series was a school setting which was understandable since they were only just children and young adults just learning spells and such. Fantastic Beasts, on the hand, was quite different since the main protagonist was a fully qualified wizard so I did enjoy this version more rather than the HP movies.
I am looking forward to this kind of scenario to be honest but I do wish that the Agency have some kind charm to ward off these kind of enchantments.
Do we have willpower stat ? i didn’t really observe the stats for wayhaven since it is story oriented , but i think Willpower will be crucial to resist charm or enchantment
It is kind of a tragic/sad story to be honest … the witch queen do love the original hunter and he still can’t bring himself to kill her… at least their apprentices will have a happier ending
Vampires will feel cold too ? I thought they are immune to heat and cold
A lot of the vampire tropes get broken by the book. M for one is more sensitive to cold than most humans.
It was mentioned in-game that they are highly sensitive with heat and cold. I think this was during the part before we return to Wayhaven. The list of choices including the choice why they don’t sparkle. XD
Yeah they do, it’s part of their sensory sensitivity in Sera’s version of Vampires. M is especially sensitive for the fact when they were turned their sensory sensitivity and pheromone potency is above average for a vampire human-made or Natural. So they are pretty sensitive to temperature. It’s why they are always complaining about how cold Wayhaven is in early spring. It’s also why they get especially grumpy about loud sounds and such too.
Though yeah. XD What @resuri08 said.
Yeah, tbh, the RIs felt rather shallowly developed beyond their appearance and surface behaviors. But that’s more the norm than anything.
Thanks @anon90085413 @resuri08 @AngelOfTheBroken
Just like my MC in the story, i am getting too relax and didn’t exactly paying attention to what they said… well with four vampires protecting me, things won’t go wrong the second time right ?
If A is here , she will be most frustrated at me …but N will be the most compassionate , so Natalie will bail me out, no worry
and F … …let me think … yupe F definitely love me too , so she will be cool
M… err , who was M again ??? Lol
Hey. We have 6 more books for development to happen! There’s plenty of time!
But i thought some of their history was reveal during multiple conversation ?
I definitely remember M saying F is the only true blood who recently join them , and F telling she had certain ambition
I was having short term memory lost when i said i forgot who was M, but now i remember the conversation with M …Lol
but jokes aside, yeah … surely there will be more reveal regarding their history and personalities in future books
Yes, very true. And it was indeed M who spilled the beans. Good job, M.
Guys… We have six more books of angst and drama and smooches and mystery ahead of us…

This is very true, I think that’s part of the fun of the first book is it’s the set up. It isn’t an info and character dump. If you pay attention there are hints of what goes on beneath the surface. LIke M is so loyal it almost hurts. Like they are about to fight you over trusting you a little bit to tell you that F is from the Echo world. Then A, there’s hint they are a bit of sarcastic dork deep down when they try to poke fun at the MC before having “Oh no I’m getting along with a human!” moment. Then N, okay N I keep getting distract me with their secret suave. They obviously have regret about something. F also shows surprising muterity towards the second half.
Okay F theory incoming: What if the only reason they flirt so much and act so for lack of a better word, loose in the beginning with us is because its the only way they know how to show us they are attracted to us and like us. Take N for example. They show they are attracted by doing small things at first. Prolonged eye contact, touching our hand, the occasional lingering smile. We can see that they are attracted to us but they are also discreet about it. F on the other hand kisses us on the cheek the first time they meet us, makes regular innuendo filled comments to our face, and openly talks about how hot we are. Sera has already said that they look for commitment in relationships which usually lead to heartbreak because the jerks are just looking for some fling. I feel like someone, possibly M, told them that they had to be flirty and show themselves off if they want people to notice them. That is why when we either show interest in them or another vampire they begin to act more mature. That mature personality is their real personality. They no longer have to put on an act because they know that we either truly like them or we just want to be friends. My sister helped come up with this. She’s more into angst than I am but this theory sounded plausible so I thought I’d share it.
I like the theory but I have a feeling F wouldn’t have matured so quickly(at least not until the second book) if it was M who told them that since they’re friend’s.
That does make sense. For me, I’ve always got the impression that F just really likes emotions? Like, expressing them and other people expressing them. Its why they will poke fun to make people mad, flirt to get people flustered, and likes when the MC is open to returning the feeling. I remember there was a part where F says that they “enjoy the feeling of first attraction” and wanted to savor it. I do think you’re onto something with the more Mature Side being their real personality tho…
Sad Thought: Perhaps the Echo World is just a less emotional place. For example, Murphy seems to lack empathy, both towards humans and other Supernaturals. Maybe that was the norm there? Perhaps F also lacked or repressed their emotion when they first came to our world because that was just what they knew and being in our world made them realize what they were missing so now they want to fully enjoy emotion.
Jumping on @mewsly’s theory
Have you considered the fact that if the Echo World is an emotionally repressed place, that maybe F willingly left? So they could be their true selves somewhere else…but only find that they must stay away from the population at large, in the shadows, living a mostly isolated existence save for those the Agency green lights on, leaving Unit Bravo as the closest thing to a family that they have, but even they are not a home.
Considering what Sera said about our world being little more than myth and legend in the Echo World I doubt it… Buuuut perhaps they joined the Agency hoping to meet more people and finding that they had to stay hidden instead?
I don’t know. If Echo world is anything like ours, or any society for that matter, its inhabitants will have to inherit and show the natural empathetic (or at least sympathetic) traits, in order for that society to function and survive and not to collapse in on itself within a week.
And Murphy is an agent that actively resists that - he seems an abnormality to any collective, a psychopath to be shunned by any group he encounters, once recognized, be it humans, supernaturals or w/e.
He could very well originally be human, since I don’t think the game mentions his background(?), and lots of years him being a vamp just cemented the dissociation and aloof superiority in his persona.
It’s an interesting observation nonetheless, but you’d need a bigger sample to build upon, not just one rogue pattern
pfffffffft I completely forgot about that.
woops
welp. there goes my attempt at F angst, lmao
No, Murphy is a pureblooded vampire, it has been mentioned in the game. Because he is able to create Thralls and only naturally born vampires can do so.
