something i find stupid about richard is that he didn’t want to marry us without our will but still he never asked us if we wanted to or not
maybe the mc wanted to accept so he could feel useful for the kingdom or something

I regret that there was no option to take titles away from our sister Freya so that, on the one hand, they cut off relations with her due to her affair and, on the other hand, not lose the popular support for being related to a sea thief.

It’s really hard to forgive Astryn for poisoning innocent people. I mean, I’ve tried to be reasonable and understanding about her situation and she just did blow up the whole thing. Even harder when you try to pursue her route.

Giving speeches is not about pouring out your heart. It’s speaking the words that audience wants to hear: in this case, medieval society which is at war wants to hear call for blood

You know, in the play through I’ll carry forward , that’s how I’ll view the bloodthirsty speech. My PC was furious (about her poor, defenseless civilian citizens, her councilors, and her politically-betrothed-true-love being poisoned) and betrayed (she thought that she’d made in-roads with Astryn, and she’d genuinely grown to like Matteo over time), so when the speech time came, she was very much in a “Pagonia delenda est!” state of mind. Once the haze clears, she will be much more pragmatic and calm.

I mean I promised to kill Erwen (he IS behind the poisoning ultimately after all) but they were still grumpy grumpy.
On a unrelated note I got into mega super protective dad territory with Leia. Nothin’ gonna hurt my new little girl!

I hope theres a sequal to this book the story ended at a pretty awkward point in my opinion. Also what happned to the get married and start a family option? Is that only for certain routes ive done Daemir, Xavier and Claras so far and that never really came up.

Can you marry Xavier as like a political alliance marriage thing as a prince/ss? Cuz I was aiming for that but at the negotiating table Lena was only interested in Richard despite me freeing Xavier etc.

It’s only Book 1! My MC is with Clara but also in an arranged marriage with Lena and the marriage hasn’t happened there yet either.
