The Seven Heirs of Ophaesia: Part One (WIP)

The Verathae’s will likely take part in the psychological abuse as well.

I think it was said earlier in this thread or something that Eraven would never, ever hit his kids, or even consider doing so, so there’s that. Not totally the worst he could be. But I mean, he’s already said to their face that having them was a mistake so…he obviously he doesn’t have many compunctions about being an ass lol

I will honestly be stunned if I ever see the day Eraven expresses some form of regret about the actions he took against MC. And when I say seeing him show regret, I mean showing regret on how he treated them, not regretting that the child came into existence in the first place, he already made his stance on that part abundantly clear. But that would be sort of a interesting sight, seeing him do something that shocked even him into expressing something else besides cold hatred or hot anger toward MC.

He’d break objects with his frustration when he gets particularly angry, but yes, the man does not even think about the idea of raising his hand against any of the children (MC included).

But yeah, like you said he already dealt a just as strong a blow on the Seven Heir when he pretty much told them to they should never have existed. For my MC, Even if Eraven did lose himself enough in the moment to hit Vulcan as a child, he would probably be barely phased by the action. Physically it would hurt like crap (the king is a pretty big guy who probably doesn’t hold anything back when his emotions go high), but Eraven doing enough mental and emotional blows on the Seventh Heir would probably make Vulcan look coolly at him with eyes that practically said 'You’ve already done worse. This is nothing."

Random on my part, but Eraven’ s words reminded me of the words a video game character’s mother told them. The woman was killed right in front of their eyes when they were just a kid and her last words to them was “You should never have been born”.

Stupid peasants/nobles/people in general can sometimes be just as much a reflection of their leaders as they are a reflection of their own person.

hello guys  don’t blame me for what i’m going to say, but don’t you think you take too much from Fawkes? the project itself is already very ambitious, now you also start wanting more things never said :woman_facepalming:t3::woman_facepalming:t3: please talk about what will be planned instead of adding things that Fawkes has not even mentioned! having said that hello, I hope I have not offended anyone

@Anastasia_Morlov

The post didn’t seem offensive to me.

Just a little confused (from my end) about what’s being referenced at the moment . Most of the conversations here right now seem to revolve around our MCs, their views on things, questions about aspects of the story, and theories about what might be going on with certain characters (and our personal views in them) and possible events the could occur (and a little silliness at times). Maybe idea events being brought up won’t happen in the game, but it’s more like doing some fun character crafting of our MCs while we wait for the next update (not that we’re asking the author herself to add things in; we’re just playing with .ideas that tell ourselves a little more about our Seventh Heirs). And I don’t see any harm in playing with our imaginations and talking about our own MCs while we wait.

So I’m not sure what you mean when you say some of us forum dwellers are taking too much from Fawkes.

Hey nice story just to let you know English isn’t my strongest language but could u make the mc have a option to leave the kingdom and make his/her own path u know maybe add a princess / prince of a weak kingdom or duchy and mc decideds to leave with them and make their kingdom rise to become powerful so his sibling all band together to stop mc before he becomes to powerful or they become jealous that mc kingdom growing more powerful than theirs or mc could fall in love with a commoner and runs a way with her but they won’t allow that boom instant part two that my thoughts and a couple of other readers too

Hi there @shadowking101! Welcome to the forums! It’s nice to see new readers get as hooked as everybody else has, lol.

Now, about your ideas. I think they’re very interesting, but I’m afraid you might not know the scope of the game. For one, it’s already going to be split into three parts because the current plot will be just too large and unwieldy for one game. Two, while what you’re asking is very interesting, it doesnt quite fit with the current plot of the game. In fact, it would actually have to diverge very early on into the first game, and to add it @Fawkes would essentially have to plan, write, and code for two different games.

Again, I like your ideas and if you like pitching them, I suggest you go to the Interest Check Thread which sometimes has authors looking around for ideas to inspire them!

In the meantime, may I ask what’s drawn you to the game? What you enjoy most out of it?

Not a new user, but this thread has cayght my attention for quite sometime for me now. Finally got the chance to try it out today, and I’m decently hooked. Then reading through all 4k replies, there are a few things I’m sceptical/worried about, however, but this has been a good read.

I hope our sleepy mod Fawkes is alright (may the muse be with you) so she can resume progress on this game.

I Just Wanted To Ask Why Don’t We Get An Option To Choose A Bow Or The Dagger When Selecting Our Favorite Gift.

Maybe because we can expect a dagger in our back at any time, or a sneaky shot from a hidden assassin?

Er, I mean, good question, but I suppose someone must gift them too, meaning Rose need to have the ‘right NPC’ for it. :relaxed:

IIRC, the MC’s oldest brother gives the dagger.

More specifically, Big Bro Neraven made a servant to get a gift for the Seventh Heir, didn’t specify what kind of gift to give the youngest sibling and so the servant got a dagger since that is traditionally what the older brother gives. Doesn’t even know what kind of gift his own servant got for the Seventh Heir.

Gotta love the Dahlas family. Still wonder what the Seventh Heir is going to be fully in for when they finally get to meet the Maeliah side of their family, but I’m not sure how much worse of a impression they could possibly create when compared to what most of the Dahlas members are likely going to make.

This option has already been implemented in the private, patreon-only demo. The link to her patreon is in the first post of this thread. I don’t know when the public demo will be updated as @Fawkes has been convalescing (more info can be found on her tumblr, the link is also in the opening post).

As has already been answered, Neraven—or rather, the servant Neraven put in charge of finding you a present—is who gifted the MC the dagger, as is tradition (the dagger, not the third-party present-finder).

I’m also not the author of this game, lol
