honestly idk what i even did to inherit the will?
i was surprised to find that outcome and wonder if it’s because im friendly towards the duchess? or if there’s more to it? i liked her and artie though… would’ve preferred if the duchess wasn’t stuck as a tree 
that made me sad. hopefully the gang can save her in the future
and also. a few things about the transgender text for the mc in the game. it felt… kind of hollow, especially considering helena is also canonically transgender. in my honest opinion, it would be better if there was a few more texts about helena and the mc bonding if they’re both trans, maybe about hormone replacements or just “oh we’re both trans” kind of moment? because when helena confessed about her being trans, i was expecting a text about the mc also being trans but it didn’t pop up anywhere so i was a little disappointed. the story’s really good too. to me, none of the characters felt like they were out of place and all seemed to belong right where they should. the latest chapter is the best so far, and it really made me want to wipe that stupid arrogant smirk from the duke’s ugly face lmao
about whether or not the duchess gave everything she had to you in her will. from her seat in the council, to her home. she basically names you her heir if she thinks you’re deserving, i think?

but seriously I saw her as a mother figure for mc
oh no you’re not the only one. she’s more of like an enabling mother to me that likes controlled chaos? with the way she made the duke spend thousands over a useless butter knife at the auction😂 while professor karline is like that protective mother that helps nourish your magic (or lack thereof)
Mainly if you do a lot of stuff that breaks rules but without hurting others in his presence. 
It should grow to “long” in the Atlantis chapter…

Random question, how do Ædmund’s parents pronounce the æ?
I’d rather phrase it as exposing him to some of the more ugly parts of life and the world that break him out of his complacent bubble he lives in at the start of the game. As long as the mc does not hurt people themselves, that part is correct. If you meet both of those criteria I’d say Eddie’s own innate rebellious nature will do the rest.

Okay, so strictly speaking “æ” was traditionally supposed to be pronounced like the “a” in cat, and where it survives in modern English (usually just written “ae”) it’s often pronounced like the “ee” in bee, but honestly, they just pronounce it like you would normally pronounce “Edmund”, but using magic so you know it’s spelled with an æ.

I think I’d prefer that over the Latin pronunciation, though, which would be “Idemund” if you asked the ancient Romans and “Aidmund” if you asked the Catholic Church. 
Fortunately, when I was reading, I just assumed it was “Edmund” with a flourish of orthographic affectation. I wonder if his parents’ magic makes people who see his name written automatically know how to pronounce it, the way it makes people who hear it just know how to spell it?
…I’m pretty sure I read “Addmund” differently than you. Also technically I’m reading it as Finnish Ä, (Ädmund… it’s easier to understand with Æddie, which would be similar to “Addie” I think) which is slightly different from the Norwegian æ, although it is generally the same vowel (from what I understand… I don’t actually speak Norwegian), but I keep calling it as reading Norwegian æ because Finnish doesn’t use the letter and Norwegian does.
Could definitely use some magic that tells how to write spoken words and pronounce written words in real life though. That would be super handy.

This is one of the best games I’ve ever played! I loved seeing Charlie change. I almost burst into tears when the main character’s memory was erased and Artie died… I love this game!
