Please don’t phrase it that way.
Well then actively trying to get someone to leave their partner to be with you doesn’t sit right with me.
I mean, that’s what the poly option is for.
Not into poly relationships and sharing or anything like that. Guess I’ll just stick with Ilsa or Pearl.
I mean, yeah they’re characters I created but they’re meant to be people not inventory items.
Fine I’m not into having relationships with more than one person and that person having relationships with another person. I’m only into a monogamous relationships.
Ok. I hope you end up liking Ilsa or Pearl as much as you did Eliza.
I noticed the rune magic stat didn’t increase with the rest of them.
Oh, yeah. I forgot to add that line of code. Thanks for catching that.
We should be able to customize the mc but I learned not to mind if it isn’t addressed in the game. Your story is rich enough to make do without it being necessary.
I love this. Backgrounds are important and as such it should absolutely have an impact on our behavior.
I like the idea but I think it’d be better if you applied that for any character with high relationship. Friends can be influenced too.
Dating is fine but I wouldn’t jump the gun and call it a relationship after the first date. Give us time to know the characters and then maybe write a scene where the RO and the mc talk about starting something.
Always good to raise those stats.
Agreed. It’s a fucking magic school, I wouldn’t even blink.
I think smaller updates are more helpful in the long run. If something doesn’t feel right you can change it easily and keep writing accordingly. Otherwise you might end up writing something we think doesn’t work with everything that comes after and you’ll have to rewrite a lot.
Hello, would you mind editing this post (or posting it again) so that the questions you’re asking and points you’re trying to make have more spacing between them, please? I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m having a hard time trying to read that wall of text!
Thank you.
Greetings, welcome on your first post. Thank you for the suggestion, I separated the post into paragraphs. Hopefully it will make it more palatable.
I’ve got to ask - that movie night with the rest of our dorm mates, was Guenevere a reference to the game by the same name written by jeantown? (RIP that thread…)
Yes! I was wondering when someone was going to catch that.
I made a change there and I hope the error is fixed, if it persists I’ll keep working on it.
I’m definitely liking this so far.
Guess I’ll just stick with Pear
I can see why, Ilsa and Pearl are not so interesting to me, they are good characters but they would not be my choice to start dating.
I think small updates would be great
Can we have a pet?
The only thing I’m not entirely satisfied about is that if you create a female mortician and join the gardening club you’re basically a quasi copy-paste version of Ramona (minus the artistic tendencies). I guess I can see the appeal in finding someone so similar to yourself but to me that just feels… a tad uninspired? Whatever, it’s just my bias towards unique characters speaking here.
Thank you.
Optional, I’m reworking the details and seeing if I should put that aside altogether.
I’m thinking of assigning a pet for the MC to have back home depending on background.
Hmm, that’s rather problematic. I hope I can make up for it once the background and choices start to influence attitude and the internal thoughts.
Alright everyone, I introduced a new feature I had in mind to influence the story going forward. Now I’m going to do a bit of polishing of Chapter One before I move on to writing Chapter Two. As I’ve mentioned before I’ve been considering giving the MC a set appearance based on their background. So the question is, are there any suggestions from those who prefer a certain background or would you prefer customization options even if they’re going to be rather arbitrary here and I’ll have few opportunities to bring it up in story?
