Hmm… loved the new chapter (I’ve only done one playthrough since the update so far but I’ll do another later) but goddamn I despise all the suitors bar John so far, John is an adorable little 'tistic bean and I wanna adopt him.
Onto my opinion of the suitors so far:
John feels kinda like he’s AroAce to me ngl, how him and Lucy act seems more like siblings than any form of romantic or sexual attraction and it doesn’t seem like he himself realises that it’s familial love he’s feeling if I’m right.
Quincy feels like he’s bi cuz the constant options asking about him and Arthur’s relationship were sus (this may be me coping cuz I’m hoping Arthur and Quincy get together and don’t bother Lucy and us), read the Tumblr and gotta say I don’t like that Lucy is fine with Quincey “just having fun” with us… I’m demi though so that might just be me.
I’m like 99% convinced Arthur is gay but due to his personality and sense of responsibility he’s willing to marry and have a kid with Lucy for his family duty and he gets to help solve his friend’s financial situation while he’s at it.
So uhhh… will we have an option to “disappear” them out of jealousy IYKWIM? Lucy is tagged with (Can be extremely mad, jealous and clingy) afterall.
Just to confirm, will being completely exclusive with Lucy be a valid possibility? I assume so as AFAIK (could be wrong, only did a cursory search about it a minute ago and haven’t read Dracula itself) you’ve written her quite differently from the Dracula version of her what with her being a virgin (I assume since she said we were her first kiss), not having ever kissed someone before and such rather than being promiscuous (as the search results called her.)
As for her thoughts about you and Quincy, she is only okay with if you are also okay with it. Lucy is full of jealousy. She might tolerate a kiss or two with you and Quincy, but if she feels it is going more then that, she will put a stop of it by telling Quincy to back off. So, yeah, she only tolerate Quincy if you yourself do so. So do avoid showing that you are into him.
I also did tag Lucy like that for a reason, which I cannot say right now. But if you want a jelly Lucy that only cares about you, you will get her lol.

Then I’m just a big ass pansy because it physically pains me to choose mean or overtly amoral options. Aside from the brides, I don’t know if I have it in me to kill anyone unless I go the vampire route. Even then, I still don’t know. Madly in love with this IF and every character is near and dear. Arthur, too! The added dialogue really turns a greasy attempt at bribery into a gray decision that shows how much he cares about Lucy… which is understandable because Lucy is best girl xD
You gotta understand that Lucy has locked up the part of being into women in her head. To her the only way is to marry a man and to her Quincy is charming enough. It is not love tho. She also loves trying to make you jelly hehe

I’ve seen a few people mention the 500 error recently Have you tried clearing your browser cache or opening the demo in an incognito/private window? Sometimes the save data from older versions of the demo clashing with the new update can cause that 500 error at chapter transitions.

what phenomenal writing you’ve put out, it captures the original atmosphere of the og dracula very very well as someone whose favorite part of the entire book was that unsettling, disorienting, gaslighting kind of atmosphere and presence. it really does feel like it’s set in the same world and you should take that as a compliment of the highest order. the deep fascination, the exhilaration, the sensuality, the unease of it all is just chef’s kiss
