No need to apologize at all. Far too many exciting WIPs stall out not even 20-30% through development. Writing IF is a tough endeavour. Your amazing WIP is clearly near completion and we’re getting extra content! I am super excited to read The Golden Rose once it is released.

So you’re saying I’ll be getting 5-10% more of your wonderful story? Sounds like a great announcement to me. Keep up the amazing work.

You have nothing to apologize for.

An issue was brought to your attention and you understood that the quality of your work would ultimately suffer if you did nothing. There are many people who would not do that and ignore the problem instead.

As a writer, you’re doing the right thing.

Aw come on, as everyone said, no need to apologize!
Not to mention, if you look at the bigger picture, it won’t alter the release date THAT much in any case. So if it makes for a better game, who in the world could be upset? :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

There’s no need to be disappointed in yourself, or to think that others would be disappointed. Let me be clear: The Golden Rose is a damn stellar work of art, and you should feel proud that you trust yourself to alter it in order to improve it. And as for the audience… have no fear. The 121 hearts on your comment (at the time of my writing this) should be proof enough that everyone is with you, and that everyone is cheering for you to do your best, regardless of how long it takes.

So: keep up the good work! Take as much time as you need. Rather than viewing taking more time on the story as a blunder, think of it instead as proof of your dedication. We’re all looking forward to it.

Thank you guys so, so much! I was very nervous about sharing the news because I couldn’t anticipate the reception I’d get but you’ve proven all my fears were unfounded :sob: All of your kind posts lifted a heavy weight off my chest.

I’ll take my time to make sure this final chapter is as perfect as I can humanly make it - that this first book is as good as my skill allows. And I do wholeheartedly mean it, I can’t imagine the book now without this final chapter. It’d be like it had a missing limb or torn-up pages. Just… incomplete. Wrong.

So thank you so much for not only understanding but going out of your way to assure me that you do. It means a lot.

I have a feeling that this is going to be a very successful book.

Same. Honestly feel it deserves more fan base than it already has. Once it comes out and people start playing it I think it will be a big sleeper hit.

I feel like this game has more of a silent/lurker fanbase who are very, very passionte and supportive but don’t like to make too much noise. They support in the shadows like cool master spies. If one of the master spies reads this, I appreciate your quiet support dear reader :orange_heart:

But for the not-so-silent ones… I feel like sharing the WIP, see if we get it some deserving attention :smirk:

I tend to agree with you. My guess is that because this is a serious and cool story that doesn’t have much material to “argue” about in the public version - like who’s the best RO or if there is a controversial RO, or an exceptionally unique and never seen before feature (not saying this isn’t unique, just talking about really weird and unexpected concepts), or anything that could cause a lot of debate.
So basically, an absolutely stunning game, but the debate will probably come with the full version.

Hadrian ftw ! Lol.

I mean, I agree with you, but all the characters are cool, and I don’t feel like anybody hates any character - that’s what I meant

Yes! This is one of the very few WIPs where I want to explore every romance, personality, ability… My main interest is with my female MC Tessa and the love triangle with Hadrian and Alain, but I also have a male MC for Ysabella, who is leading on Alessa (sorry Alessa aw) and flirting with the guard lol. But I also want to romance Alessa with that same female MC in another playthrough, so… I will squeeze this book till the last drop of content and variables :exploding_head::orange_heart: My MCs are also opposites in personality, skills and weapons. Every path is a good path :ok_hand:

Alessa is freaking adorable and I love the fact that I can play the funny laid back guy out of battle then transform into the cold killer when needed. Something Will learned the hard way, if only he had listened.

Hehehe thanks Kir, you talking about the silent aficionados made me realize that I never voiced my support over here! XD
Well Anathema, it’s quite heartwarming to read that you’re making the extra push to give us the game you really want to. Like I was hyped before, and now I’m extra hyped? Is that even possible!? (And if you want to add chapters 9, 10 and 11 I don’t think there would be any complaints :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:)

Cheers for all your hard work! Hypehypehypehype!

@Anathema

Take your time. Make it the classic that it’s shaping up to be.

Ravyn will wait patiently until you are ready. She’s excited to her story to begin.

Ravyn smiles serenely and leans back in her chair, mead in hand.
