This game is awesome! One of the best fantasy games I’ve seen in a long time. Quick question: I know Alessa and Hadrian are the only two confirmed RO’s but are there any other flings or minor romances available?

In the earlier scene where you were lost in a tomb (before meeting Alessa and Hadrian). If I’m not mistaken, you need to dash through the room and then jump down and pry that coin.

You won’t actually have to jump in the pit if you’re aiming for a high caution character after obtaining the coin, as long as you inspect the shrine after rushing toward the sound of the water. The entire theme of the ruin plus the later discovery of the famous quote “Fortune favors the bold” hints at this being the minimum requirement. Have fun reading.

I just played the demo and I can safely say that this is one of the books that I’m anticipating the most now!
I love the choice of sarcastic responses, makes me laugh every time. Also the contrast of personalities between Hadrian and Alessa makes the the ROs choice itself very engaging.
Looking foward for the launching :))

I am enamoured with this demo. The sarcasm is amazing; love me a charming MC whose tongue is sharper than her blade. Hadrian is amazingly fun to tease/fluster, 10/10 just for that. Can’t wait for the full game!

Finished Coding and Editing! 🎉
All new chapters are thus added to the game which now stands at a total of 872k words - code excluded. To be honest, it stopped at a point where I could submit it as it is to Hosted Games and be a decent first book of the series. Both in size and, most importantly, in plot too.
The temptation is there, but I want to add two more chapters before calling this creation done.
So instead, I’ll be sending the private link to my testers in the coming week. Which makes me so nervous! I don’t know why, but making this private “update” is more nerve-wracking than a public one. I suppose it’s like giving a presentation to a small group instead of hundreds. When it’s small, you can see their individual faces, stare at their eyes, see for yourself the disappointment. Whether a crowd will blend together and it’s easy to pretend the world is no more than you.
But I’ll send the link. I may have to force myself, but I’ll do it. I need feedback desperately.
This took me… way longer than I thought I seriously miscalculated how long reading, editing, and coding over 300k words would take. But the branchiest chapters are behind, and now we head to the end. I’ll be taking a few days off writing and then come back in force. I want to have the first draft of chapter 6 done before Christmas.

I last commented in December of 2018, just looked at the old comment and your reply. I have to say you have set out all you wanted to accomplish and more! The Alessa/Female MC friendship scenes meant the world to me. I adore her, and I like that even if we’re not romancing her, it’s clear we care so much about her. Maybe even grow to love her! I love female friendships, and I especially love when they aren’t deemed as “less than” romantic partners. We’re not ignoring Alessa to romance someone else, we have enough love and loyalty to go around 
I also love how you have further developed Hadrian. I was worried a bit about how religious he was in the beginning, despite how adorable I found him, but you managed to fulfill what you described in your reply PERFECTLY. My MC is respectful of belief despite having none herself, and VERY scornful of the Church. As soon as I criticized the church and he wasn’t mad (he even agreed) I respected his faith and ability to think critically all the more.
I saw that you already have beta testers which is awesome! But I was wondering if you wanted feedback from the general population still? And if so what kind? There’s tiny things I noticed, like referring to “falls on deft ears” instead of “deaf ears” etc. But idk if that’s actually useful or if your beta testers have it covered. Anyway, congrats on your amazing work! Can’t wait to see more of it!

It is! I asked the artist to draw them as neutrally as possible - my only request was that both the glove and the coin were included, and he really delivered!

I’m so glad you enjoyed Alessa’s friendship scenes! I truly don’t like it when romance is placed above friendship, I think both have the potential to be as deep as the other, and as life-impactful.
So while I want to try and write good romances, I also really want to try and write good friendships. Good relationships, period. Whether it’s with your fellow mercenaries, your horse, a carrot thief, or a priest who finds you sneaking around in a forbidden wing of a grand cathedral.
And I’m glad you liked Hadrian too! I can’t wait to further explore his character. Hadrian had a more “serious” hang-out scene in this chapter - quite an opposition of Alessa’s, where you got to see her a bit more relaxed.
But Hadrian also has a fun side to him. In the cathedral, he was never truly at ease, and faith dominated the conversation. And while that is an important part of who he is, there is a lot more to Hadrian - a fact even he tends to forget.
Oh please, I’m open to all kinds of feedback - up until the very last moment where I submit the game to Hosted Games. Typos, continuity errors, comments on pacing, wishes for more options, clarifications. All of that is helpful, and all of that is welcomed
