All I will say is that I almost never answer questions about the plot. :zipper_mouth_face:

I only see this, I can’t select any option or change the settings.

The demo passes quicktest, and I’m not seeing any errors when I try that choice.

So, after some thought, I’ve decided to add Lester to the list of ROs. This means I’ve also added another task to my long list of future changes, which includes adding a few more choices in for Lester throughout the demo.

it would be much more comfortable to the player and yourself if there was an option to simply distribute your skills as you’d like instead of linking them to dialogue choices, the present set up is so limiting to roleplaying potential since you have to keep track of what every dialogue option implies and whether for example option a increases charisma or diplomacy or does option b increase intimidation or resolve.

That’s a game design and narrative choice that I personally disagree with for my own story and actively want to avoid. I want players to be able to dynamically change their character, and be able to and sometimes be required to flexibly respond to situations, instead of setting their best stats early on and sticking to those rigidly for the rest of the game. I also don’t consider it too complicated my way because I provide stat notifications and stat requirements to the reader.

there is no dynamic change as stats are not reset and the reader has no clue what number is required of him to complete a certain challenge if there is one to begin with, all it serves is to hinder the responses the player is allowed to take without providing anything in return, a character who wants to focus on combat for example will find that he can’t use sarcastic responses as it increases charisma instead of combat or resolve, a character who ants to focus on intelligence will find that he’s unable to make threats as it doesn’t increase his desired stat. again it is very limiting to the player and if you can flexibly respond to situations as you wish without any drawbacks from stat limitations then don’t add stats to begin with since they serve as a placeholder for the character gauging his strengths and weaknesses

Combat stat checks require Combat, not Resolve. My system is intended to give you the option of choosing whichever combo of fighting style and personality you wish.
