I totally get what you mean. That’s why I suggest blocking the gender choice for MCs that are only attracted to one gender. So that you can only choose the gender under the condition that MC is attracted to both.
That way people who are only attracted to one gender can’t possibly choose a gender that they are not attracted to, but those who are attracted to both can pick according to their wishes.
Will probably not make everyone happy, but it’s totally okay not to offer platonical content and the option to pick genders that don’t match your attraction IMO. Either way you should go with what feels right to you as the author.

I get that. I hate romance triangles, and adore Watson, but I’m aiming to romance Lestrade. I’d feel to guilty if Watson is strung along, so I was uncomfortable when I chose him to be strictly platonic with my Sherlock, and was still getting RO vibes from him. Though that bit was fixed a while back, thankfully.
As for blocking gender selection according to sexuality…not the biggest fan. Sometimes I want certain characters to be the opposite gender of what I plan to ro. Like, I can’t imagine a female Watson or a male Irene. Or sometimes it feels natural for not every major character to be the same gender. But in the end, I bow to the authors final call.
Yes! See, its so hard to scrub that sort of vibe away Especially with characters so platonically close and loving, in a way, as Watson and Sherlock often can be. I know I still have the latest chapter to go back over to check for thewrong vibes, cause I know there were some scenes where I wasn’t sure I managed it

I feel the only time Watson came off that way as a Watson platonic player was at the stairs with Sherly in their costume. Everything else has been good and within the range of a protective friend/brother.
Hamish and the others can be all the flirty they want to be, since my Sherlock is completely oblivious and only interested in Lestrade. I find it rather amusing.
Poor Hamish was doomed from the start, as I first mistook him for Moriarty in disguise.

As the final part of the ball, 6.3 is still being worked on—diligently—some parts of the chapter feel more WIP than you might be used to. The cut-off point is a little wonky; a lot of the actual investigation moments /flavour text are still missing. Adler has 1 of their 2 intro scenes (one that fits less work-oriented MCs better—or shyer ones) + some minor things like more outfit references.
But it will come with the next update!
In the meantime, have fun—and if you enjoyed it, give consideration to giving a review on itch or joining the Patreon (I’ll put a post on there with the future password and link to 6.3 so you have it when I’m done with it. I had hoped it to be this month, you see.. but life.. lifed.)

Yes, It’s planned anyway. After a certain small timeskip I wanted the scene to open on mc playing their instrument while thinking. I feel like it adds a nice grounding moment. Might also tie the instrument to some romance scenes as I have a few ideas, but nothing’s settled on that end!
