I actually went in it without any expectations! But despite his suspicious-ness I find H quite interesting since they appear perfect at first glance, but when answering the questions and interacting with them in general, you can tell -or at least I thought- that they are morally gray, ambitious and maybe a little selfish, a little self-indulgent(?, and I say it in the most flattering way possible lol I mean- they have layers
I find it really hard to imagine scenarios with other people’s characters, so I would just say that I’d be happy to see them have more snarky interactions with Watson, bc I’m cheap like that
I still don’t understand well where is the line between the two, but I’ve been trying many options and I think all of them are well developed and interesting! I have a tendency to get stuck with options that feel “right” and until today, that made me lose a long conversation and the part where the MC trips on their dress I was surprised with the flirty and bold response from H! (when you are in the simp route I think)
This is so relatable, as a cat owner, I definitely tripped over mine.
To be honest, I called him “the cat” because I forgot if his name is customisable by the player or if it’s always Horatio. But you’re right, it’s disrespectful to refer to him like that. I beg your pardon, Mr Horatio, please don’t trip me, I have no H to catch me!
Horatio is Mrs Hudson’s cat. I remember him being mentioned in my playthrough even before this scene, but I’m not sure if he’s always mentioned, or only if you choose specific options. In any case, he canonically exists for everyone, so hopefully Sherlock gets to interact with him at some point.
I think it would only work on new saves yes. But there’s a skip to ch4 you can use for quick runs—I really don’t recommend using old saves as there’s always new variables introduced.

As for the results of the poll
I’m not really surprised—after most early feedback disliked the simp route I focused all my attention on that one, and it seems, as I suspected, I overcompensated/prioritised unequally. After CH5 is done, and once I have an idea on what to do to fix it, I’ll look into improving non simp.
At first I was thinking to add the deduction scene to that one, but it wouldn’t fit the pace, and the scene would need a pretty large rewrite to the point where I might as well just make a new one.
The chapter has a lot of little things that are easily missed (most of the chapters do tbh). Let me know if you want a guide to any specific moment
I personally would like more options in teasing H, I always love playing as sassy protagonist. H seems to be a person who would turn their hairs gray because of me. I loved the simp scenes, but I’m going deep into being an anti-simp. But again, this is just my personal preference.
I think that’s the path any additional non-simp scenes should go too—it seems to be the most popular route for a negative H relationship I’ll see if i can think of any good such additions!
