Congratulations!!!
I have a lot of respect for how you decided to tell the story…it works quite well with the narrative and the story. I tried something similar with my If and failed so I am now restructuring and rewriting. Good job for figuring it out!
The update really helps to introduce the world as a whole and I look forward to seeing more.
This was wonderful. I am so craving the interactions with the other gods down the line. It will be so interesting to see how deaths imprisonment influenced their domain ( if it did of course) because I can’t imagine that it went over as well as they had hoped.

There seemed something wrong with it that made death reep souls without pause and into exhaustion. It seems as though Sol did something to tip the scale.
Should Sol not know better, I mean they are at the other side of it.

He seemed so sad and I got the feeling he isolated himself from the other gods after what he felt like a betrayal.
I love that we can be kind to the child and I hope to see them again. I headcanon my main Death to be the patron of orphans before their imprisonment. I mean, yes sure they have to do their duties for the deceased but they can also care for those left behind. Maybe even have the child assistant them as link between them and the mortals. It makes a lot of sense for a death that romanced Sol as they literally love life while being death (Ignore this unhinged rambling).

Man, I can’t wait to see what brutal revenge the MC can rain down on fish face, the twins, the blind god, mc’s sister, Amorr & Val, & Sol. None of them deserve forgiveness.
Even with Romanced Sol, they are both an asshole & a shitty romantic partner. It clearly states Sol’s broken numerous promises & was a shit partner so they definitely deserve it with being apart of the imprisonment.
If the world has to burn for MC to get their much deserved revenge, then so be it.

Glad someone else has a similar view on this. I noticed on Tumblr that a lot of people are more interested in forgiveness, fluff, romance, and raising a kid.

Yes, for some reason tumblr prefers the forgiveness route, while this forum prefers the revenge route. It has been this way from the begining of this wip. No idea why.
What I am really looking forward to is to announce to the War siblings that they won. They did not like us because we were so duty focused. Well, now we are more focused on getting revenge. I hope they are prepared for the prize I have prepared for them. I know I will enjoy it. I am not so sure they will.

I hope we can curse our “sister” for her intentional betrayal. I like to think that my mc still considers her his sister but she can’t remain unpunished. Like a curse to only tell the truth or give her a fraction of my madness to make her less able to think as clearly. Idk

My default, I think, is going to be darkness with a secondary domain of dreams and nightmares.

Souls (since we are Death incarnate) main and aura secondary.
I like darkness, but feel it fits better with our sister as domain powers.

Soul with magic secondary. The clothing makes me think of the Greek gods, so I tend to kind of mix Persephone and Hecate when pulling together my traits. Also going from a fairly open-book character in the flashbacks to completely stoic and silent in the present.

Physical so the last thing her enemies see will be Death utterly obliterating them without even having to use magic, and fury for what I think are obvious reasons. It’s not vengeance or justice, Death just wants to cause others as much pain as she has felt. And she doesn’t care who, if pushed hard enough, she might end up attacking Quaboth. After all those years of captivity, she’s kind of like a rabid animal with human intelligence and godly magic.

I think what they meant was having children with Sol. The kid we find on the battlefield is probably also optional, all we did is let them stay in the Underworld. We don’t have to be their parent.
