Minecraft Story Mode Season 1 is also now available to ‘play’ on Netflix too… bit of a shame that they closed as this could have been a new source of income for them…

if only they listened to their fanbase… this was coming a long time ago.
Look battlefield and many other companys that take theyr consumers for granted…
im not really happy about them closing but i hope this make others devs take more care about their own consumers :smirk:

I found out about this, this morning and I was torn between this being clickbait or actual news.

I hope they do more TWD spinoffs like they did with the Michonne spin-off. There’s so many characters to explore in that universe and they really know how to make a phenomenal game with that IP (the third season notwithstanding).

I’m so glad we might get to see more Bigby and friends, would love to see them get some of the writers back and explore some new IP of their own making. Especially if they can get someone like Emily Grace Buck back. They had so many talented writers when they were at their peak.

TWD belongs to Skybound now, so I don’t think Telltale will have anything to do with that.(Unless, you were hoping Skybound would or will make some spin-off games).

I read the article about the new telltale and should it come back, they won’t have the IP of the walking dead, as it’s returned to the creator and his company.

The only available IPs they can do is Wolf among us and Batman (along with their original games)

Big sad. I hope Skybound does well by that property.

The Walking Dead is Skybound’s(Robert Kirkman’s) Baby the game wouldn’t even exist if he didn’t create the comic book world so I think it’s in good hands.

I guess it’s worth mentioning that on the 7th of September, they are releasing all walking dead games on disk

Did the new owners offer old positions to all the devs who’ve lost their jobs? Otherwise it’s “Telltale Games” only in the studio name.

They have not, but they might be in the future, and freelance positions have been offered. Very different from being a paid employee. A new company basically bought the branding, so TellTale is being revived in name only. Purportedly, the new owners want to keep to the spirit of the old company without the bad management, but time will tell whether that actually happens

Error! Does not compute.

Make me see red flag for some reasons, right ?

No, so far it doesn’t look good from where I’m standing.

Cherry picking and offering freelance with maybe a full time later to people with years of experience is not unlike to spitting in the face, in my opinion.

feel like a money grab scheme to me .

‘‘So we are reviving X, but…Oh no, sorry . we don’t have money to help those who were kicked or anything . But look at the bright side! You can come work and get something on your cv…the peoples outta there can come and shower-shell money on us…everyone benefit…especially us’’
