Also, you did actually interact with Issam and he asked you your favorite food when Vince gave you the tour of the ship at the beginning of the chapter.
Stumbled upon this pic online yesterday. Thought some of you may enjoy it. This is the USS Kearsarge, the second of five ships to bear such a name in the US Navy. The first was a sloop of war that famously sunk a confederate raider during the civil war off the coast of France.
The first Kearsarge was named after a mountain in New Hampshire of little significance. With the four succeeding ships honoring the original and the ships that have came after. American battleships traditionally are named after states, with only the Kearsarge bucking this trend. It was an easy choice to name the battleship where you attend the Navy academy after the long tradition of Kearsarges.
Here the second Kearsarge is decorated for the Fourth of July in 1903, a few years before it would be a part of the famous Great White Fleet.

Hey Optimal, just noting a couple of typos in the ship builder path in case you haven’t caught them yet. Can’t wait to play more! I seem to have chosen some pretty good perks (Eye and WizKid) to let me swim through the corporate shark tank without getting too many chunks taken out of me so far.

I definitely am. Also I realized I’m behind on the Deckie path, so I just started that one. Ensign Mulvoy is a riot. I love her and I hope we’re besties forever. 
I forgot to post awhile ago but I like navy path so much that I want whole game of just going through navy career in this setting

Update Imminent
Hello everyone! I’m making great progress on the next update for the Ship Builder path. I hope to have it completed by the end of the month. This update will further develop the characters and world of this path, while introducing you to different elements and jobs available at Pierce and Brown. This update will also allow you to start a romance on this path. Romance options information is available in the tab at the top post.
We’ll see how things go but I think the ship builder path is shaping up to be completed with one more large update after this one or perhaps two medium sized ones. But time will tell and I’ll be sure to keep you posted while I’m working it out.

I really like how we get to know the ROs first before we get to choose, and there are enough ROs for everybody. I really had fun reading this, and I thank you for giving this experience to us

A little snag
I’ve completed writing and coding the new update for the Builder path, but have unfortunately hit a bit of a snag. For some reason when I try to run server to do a quick test I get a message saying: file not found. This is a problem I’ve never encountered before and I’m not quite sure why I’m facing it now. But, I’m looking into it so I can properly test the new update so I can get out to you.
I appreciate your understanding and patience as I try to fix this.

52k Word Ship Builder Path Update
Here it is! I was able to run the update through quicktests with the quicktest command to test it and work out the bugs. So hopefully everything should work. Please let me know if it doesn’t or if you come across any bugs or errors.
In this update you will be given assignments by some of the bigwigs at Pierce and Brown, get to know all the major players better, get to go down to the design lab, celebrate New Year’s and get to spark a potential new romance.

Its been awhile but i’m ready to try this path.
Just played deck. I didn’t expect much from this since they are behind the scenes for navy but I’m glad we got some action after obviously being sent somewhere way less intimidating for bad guys to do something. Mostly just annoying politics and people just screwing around trying to make us like them but the reassignment let us shake things up and make them do their damn jobs with next to no consequences doing it if u played your cards right apart from the bad taste command has in its mouth. It pays to have friends in high places who have your back. It was fun.
Politics always has a way of mucking things up, doesn’t it. Glad you had fun!
Are Ares & Athena from the Navy path the only alien ROs?
Yes they are. But there will be more in the star pilot section.
