Congrats on reaching the halfway point as someone who has been following this story since the beginning it’s awesome to see how far you’ve come keep up the good work I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for our prefect or how they’ll manage to keep the empire together.

After 6 chapters and almost a year of knowing this story i have now come upon the shocking, and bewildering realization that Julia is female for Julius.

Yep! Julius Seizure.

Goes to show you don’t need PDA to make a statement. Future historians will definitely not fail to infer the context.

So I think I found a bug my relation with Ceto just disappeared

That should be fixed now.

A possible coding issue here: I saved the Watch, but still get the text which apparently should trigger when the Watch is abandoned.

Two sentences appear scrambled together here. Perhaps this could be “You worked hard to convince the powers that be to embrace the possibility of peace, even for a short time. Between such old rivals as Iudia and Gruthungia, it seems unlikely to last the test of time, even if the Witch King’s invasion is something that can be survived.”

Should be 'hold the line and force the Hadati"

I’m assuming this is intended to be ‘foederati auxiliaries’ instead of ‘federal’?

Should probably be ‘confident’ pace’.

Stats as requested.

'From what I hear" is repeated as the ending clause in two consecutive sentences.

“At that” is repeated twice in the last sentence of the excerpt.

Depending on when you saw this text, I may have already solved the issue, or perhaps I missed it again after just going over it. Was it after this morning at EST?

I can’t find this snippet, which scene is it in?

Thank you for the reports! Uploaded fixed for the rest.

Just curious, who is everyone’s favorite romance? I’m partial to the empress personally.

  • The Empress
  • The Consul
  • The Crime Lord
  • The Legate
  • The Prince

You must’ve not been around the last time this question was asked, Julia clobbered the opposition in that one, as well, to the point where you can’t legitimately ask this question anymore without removing her as an option first

Woah, really? I figured she’d be popular, but not to that degree. And yeah, it’s been a few months since I last came around these parts lol

Julia is unquestionably our Empress. Few are the Prefects who stray from her bed grace.

I certainly don’t mind having it reaffirmed, of course.

This is what I discovered, yeah. I ran a poll without Julia a few months ago:

The results were:

Ceto: 29%
Legate: 26%
Darius 23%
Consentia: 22%

Overall, fairly even of a split.

I loved this update. So far the “optimal” playthrough seems to be being great buds with Darius.

Can there perhaps be an additional dialogue option where the Prefect tells him he rejected a boon from Gaia when it’s revealed the Prince made a deal with her in exchange for usurping his father in Pharia? I’m curious as to how he will react to that, would he think him dumb for not wishing for something or would he like us more for it?

Also very excited to see how the romance with our Empress will develop in the future. It’s great that you don’t have to actually make a deal in order for the best final scene to happen! It’s fun playing a high respect, low trust Gaia run

The MC sensing something’s up with his left eye and left ear is also telling us a lot. That’s why we can be with Julia again most likely

I enjoy trade-off decisions, so I will say that while Darius will be of aid if allied with, the Empire will not always be benefited in the long term. It represents Pharia gaining a critical advantage against Iudia if they produce their own ‘sorcery’. Darius does have ideas on how to ameliorate that, if you go down a certain ambitious path in his romance.

That wasn’t his wish:

How do I get julia to marry the prefect? I got her to kill Titus but it doesn’t show up anymore

You need two of the 3:90+ imperial, tyrant Augusta, successfully completed the hit job in chapter 4
