Totally! This is without a doubt my favorite choiceofgames novel and one of my favorite games ever. I’m ngl I check this forum hourly for updates and I’ve gotten a bunch of friends to play it. You’re really talented and I can’t wait for what follows!
Put into perspective, we’ve been spoiled by the amount of updates we’ve got, especially in such a short period of time. If we compare Shattered Eagle’s progress with your average IF we get something akin to
vs
judea?
To frame that perspective, between when I started writing to when I finished Chapter IV I was averaging 2,018 words per day. Some days were much more…
When it comes to writing, sometimes it can be a trickle and sometimes it can be a flood, it depends on the mindset I find myself in overall. I try to devote time every day, even so.
Totally! Sorry if I came off as saying otherwise- super excited for what comes next but also happy that you’re taking your time and (hopefully) not stressing over it.
Oh it’s no problem, I was just commenting on my overall pace in general.
Me saving Tristitia knowing this is going to come back to bite me in the butt in the future…
Totally worth it.
I’m with you bro .
The Julia simp route is hard
Tho I feel like Tristita situation will bite us too either way.
Maybe with a Paragon Augusta if we did the right thing.
I just keep my conscience clear by not raising the Warfare skill. It’s not my fault a bad thing happened if there wasn’t anything i could’ve done about it. /s
Very much agree. I’m inclined to believe that, no matter what choice we make, the truth will come out. And then it won’t matter whether Tristitia is still alive or not. Even if she lives, she still remains for all intents and purposes “dead” (aka a new life in not-India). And we can’t prove otherwise.
Yeah. The whole situation reeks of Chekov’s gun. Though I’m sure plenty, if not most of people suspect Julia was behind the killing of Tristitia anyway. We are the only ones with the motive and means. If a claimant to the throne and her heir are mysteriously killed in a period where several contestants are battling for the throne, the obvious perpetrator is the one who won the struggle.
I’m not really sure why Julia sent my charismatic economist Prefect to an assassination squad, but I guess I tagged along.
The intent behind Julia asking the Prefect to go along with the assassins was to verify that the deed was done. She needed deniable killers, but couldn’t wholly trust them given how critical it was to her future rule.
How good of a swordsman a warfare focused prefect is? Like could he beat a praetorian guard?
Only one keeping dedicated practice might, 5+ to be considered a true veteran fighter.
As said above, it depends on how many points you’ve invested into Warfare. Once you get past 5, that would enable the Prefect to be a match for formidable foes such as Praetorians, though there are a few foes who would require higher ranks to defeat in a duel.
Just wanted to say that I so freakin love this game so far! Titus is a fool and i will make his life miserable😂. Intrigue politics blood it makes me think of GOT story books
Un/fortunately, Titus suffers from “Punching-Bag” Syndrome. Poor guy. It is an incurable affliction that few characters ever manage to overcome.
Pretty sure that’s not “average SE reader” but specifically those with male MCs who picked they’ve slept with the Empress*. Because Titus is perfectly civil and pleasant to everyone but them.
*) Although i guess that might be the average SE reader after all.
Casual reminder that even though it’s super easy to punch Titus and kick him while he’s down, if you go out of your way to mend the bridge, you actually gain a pretty solid ally and co-parent.
