is the published game going to have built-in save points?
The Beta version has checkpoints and I have no intention of removing them.

Iād love to give you an approximate release date, but Iām no less in the dark than you are. I expected to hear back from the copeditor(s) by now, but I guess my comma usage leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully it will all be done next month, but Iām not holding my breath.
Good news, I got the game back from copy-editing. Itās now 5000 words shorter and all instances of āSolar Systemā have been changed to āsolar systemā for the reasons of grammar. It looks like erroneous comma usage wasnāt my biggest problem after all.
In any case, the game is pretty much ready for official release, I just need to make a few final edits and wait a couple weeks for Hosted Games to get everything ready. If that feels too long, you can always check out my other game, or get some bonus materials from my Patreon page. Either way, stay tuned, because weāre almost at the finish line.

It does according to my IDE. Not that it matters at all, Iāll probably have to add all those spaces back to keep everything consistent. I only mentioned it because I was really surprised to see the new wordcount.
I just hope they didnāt cut any actual content, since this game was pretty close to perfect in my opinion. Not so much on a mechanics/conventions level, but the story and characters and interactivity are top-notch.

In terms of pure content, the release version will likely be slightly longer than the beta, since I get to finish all those lines I accidentally left cut and maybe even add some interactivity. I did have to remove some stuff for content review earlier, but Iāll be surprised if anyone notices, since it was mostly just obscure evil options getting replaced by slightly saner ones.

Update. Despite a few setbacks during production, Saturnine has been approved by Steam and appears ready for release on all platforms. Unless a freak meteor strikes Hosted Games headquarters within the next week, the game is basically guaranteed to release August 7th as planned. T-minus 12960 minutes, give or take a few.
