Because we all study NCERT’s books and we learn about colonialism and we all know about period dramas and I feel like there isn’t enough fiction that takes place in that time and place. I decided to read the demo on a whim, and I’m really glad I did, this is such a gem! I already love the prose and how vivid the setting feels, I’m really excited to see how the story progresses

Hey this is really awesome! It really reminds me of how the story in 1000xResist is told, which is one of my favorite games of all time.
One thing I noticed is that the RO description here on the forum uses he/him for Sunny.

Colonial Indian tale with temporal magic, piqued my curiosity. So just completed my first play through. Here are my thoughts.
My thoughts (Spoilers)
- I appreciate the use of Indian names to convey subtle things. Like I assume Tantways is derived from thantra which basically tranlstes to technique. Samay University, which also basically tranlstes to time University. Also Ravi being fallen “sun”. Though Parveen translates to Star if I am not wrong.
- First thing I noticed was stat page. It was wonderful and unique. I really liked like stat page being a museum portal where future gen is reading about us.
- I loved small Indian cultural stuff being added. Like the dress, swearing on mom, ravi sitting with ankles crossed over knee (I don’t think I have read similar description elsewhere. This perfectly encapsulated how Indian elders assume students who disrespect teachers act).
- I like whenever morse code is added. It is basically like Easter egg to me.
- The narration style, I don’t know what it is called. But I know it kinda difficult to pull it off. Because you have a future narrator who has to know everything yet keep audience in suspense. But so far, it appears smooth. I like it.
- Regarding the story and characters, I think it is quite too early to comment. So I will reserve my thoughts on it. Though I certainly liked Professor Clark’s lecture.
- Only thing I was bummed about was lack of magic. But it is kinda my fault, it is too early to expect (I assume it is part of chap 1). I hope it will be there once the chapter is completed. I also assume more cast members will be introduced in this chapter itself.
