Hello I am new to this forum. I am planning to make a game for hosted games. Like many others here. I am a little confused on one rule of theirs where it said I can’t upload a part of the game as demo but the full game. So I have to first make the entire game then upload it as demo? Sorry if this is a dumb question
I think you are talking about the rule below? If I am wrong, correct me.
You must post the game for a full public beta on the forum for at least one month prior to submission. It cannot just be a demo; it must be the full game.
This means that before submission, you need to upload the full game for testing for a minimum one month period. If you do not have a full game yet, you can upload an incomplete game/demo for feedback and testing, but once it comes down to the submission phase, you need to make a full draft available on the forum for a month, at least.

Before it’s published, you have to have posted a full demo. But your first post doesn’t have to be with a complete demo – just some kind of demo (or post your demo-less idea on the Interest Check thread).

Hi and welcome to the forum.
What the others said, and I recommend that if it is your first game to let people check the code when putting it on cogdemos. (under details tick off the ‘enable code sharing’ box) so people can help with codehiccups easier.
