I am having trouble implementing it and I’m wondering if its even still possible or if its me being a moron. I know the author said “all existing polls broke” but “revamped” implies it is still possible. OP’s link seems to be broken.

There should be a plus icon in the top formatting bar when writing a post, which will give you a drop down list including one to ‘build poll’. It might be hidden really far on the right hand side, behind a scroll arrow.
