I’ll leave the games up until Saturday or so. Every ChatGPT query actually costs a small trickle of money – fractions of a cent each time, but I don’t really have a good incentive to pay it indefinitely.
Incidentally, you could also go directly to ChatGPT and ask it for some choose-your-own-adventures, using prompts similar to the ones behind my spoiler tags. Doing this, you can even experiment with stuff like “3. But make the story have more action and introduce a new character.”
A lot of my earlier points make sense now and I know this may not make you feel better but I don’t think it’s all a bust more like I think it would be better as an AI story generator or storyteller because it really does come up with some very interesting and well-done parts like it had me laughing out loud or even crying sometimes and I think being able to get a raw an emotion like that from someone is a good sign that your work worth it.
Also, just wanted to let you know I did use this for hours last night and throughout the day because it was that interesting especially after I learned I could use games and stuff as prompts.
Well, I played again. Not sure it was worth much.
I used the same prompts, just to see what would happen. For A I got a very similar story to last time, for B I got a much more interesting story but I have no idea what the theme was and it ended with an error message, and for C I got a hot mess with two or three choices on a page until I just gave up.
I did get a big kick out of this extremely improbable love story.
