Yup, even Author in Q&A says it’s the most troublesome talent xD
I think there’s been some foreshadowing that lucid dreamer can help you even outside the dreams eventually (apart from all the stat increases). Looking at the abomination of Monster Under the Bed stat check, maybe agility is the best at the moment? More and more are getting time to shine with each update so each can be useful depending on the situation, but luck is rng soo…
What, our good friend Adrian? Oh, he’s just shy~!
Well, it could possibly also mean 404 trying to catch up with us? If they’re a corrupted reincarnation (Lamorak?) they could be the broken lamb with the demons watching?
The takeaway is that Arthur should leave clairvoyance to other people and stab his way out of the dreams already.
…maybe that doesn’t matter as much as you might think…
About the female ROs
I don’t use Tumblr, but I wanted to respond to a discussion I saw in the comments.
Don’t lose hope! There are fans who may be attracted to/gravitate towards male characters themselves, but are aware of how this affects female characters and take steps to try to balance the scales, even if only a little.
Being an Adrian fan in this fandom doesn’t erase the memories of the many, MANY times I have been a fan of a niche character or pairing and been starved for content. I know how awful that feels.
I hope the upcoming Patreon drabble poll is a sign of good things to come…
LiliArch confirmed it for me, which is what compelled me to test it.
…if there’s anyone out there who supports less Adrian content, it’s Adrian himself…
That sounds like a neat idea! Not for Adrian, though, his birthday present is NOT being in a drabble for the month…
I had mentioned that because IF are so skewed towards straight women, we may not see much of the women. I wonder if for the cast’s birthday month, should they get their own drabble—after the first one is open to all characters? There have been manytumblr asks wanting a little less Adrian for quite some time.
Then again, Lorelei did get a spotlight with Adrian’s help!
I keep replying to you. It’s only because I’m very intellectually understimulated. Apologies if it’s annoying.
anyways here’s a theory i’ve been reluctant to share
I’ve been mulling over this theory for months now. I’ll make it public, I guess.
One of my theories of the Camelot backgrounds is that each person you can be willing to have a few variations of how their tales go, which is reflective of how the apocalypse is going to go: variations based off your choices (at least this is what impression I get when you ask Merlin or read Adrian’s apocalypse guide).
I have other theories, but I will only say that I’m 80% confident you could possible get Guinevere as your past life and choose to remain completely faithful to Arthur or have the affair with Lancelot.
Seeing those characters get vaguely fleshed out and revealed may be hinting that if you start seeing these characters emerge in your past memories or see them come up in later books, this is where it begins.
Another unfounded theory of mine with no evidence is that you can have a Guinevere that can fight somewhat or is completely helpless as variations.
Concluding, even if we can pin down which Arthurian characters we are, the variations we can play to those characters adds another level of complexity. Plus, the current Camelot incarnations may respond to the more major variations you do.
…or your past incarnation is set in stone. I have no idea.
Don’t apologize! If there was a OKS Discord I’d be yapping non-stop…
Would be hype, ngl. Would also fix a potential issue I was mulling over - how some players who want a female Camelot reincarnation might be frustrated that they can’t be a female knight like Melora or Britomart and are restricted to playing as a princess or noblewoman. But if you get to decide if Guinevere is a fighter or not…
What I’m implying is that it could be possible to track who our possible incarnations could be based off of the guidebook vaguely describing character’s circumstances. Never taking a side. Either this interpretation or that interpretation.
For characters that are more linearly described, those characters are much less likely to be us.
Meaning, our incarnations are more than likely the characters who would have the most choices to vary from the legends. There is a reason why the author mentioned something like “who knows if history got things right”, or something.
Unfortunately, the guidebook can also work against our favor by leaning heavily into a linear version of a character’s legend to misguide us.
Anyways, for now, I’m tracking to see which characters would be most interesting to explore and vary from Arthurian legends based off whenever they’re mentioned, if the game is firmly linear or more vague. In a game where variations and customization matters, I just don’t see the author preferring for us to play as a typical Arthurian character.
I think you were right that “U” is for the MC. I noticed a “u_hero” and “u_rescue” variable while looking through the code for the latest demo.

Don’t forget Ninianne! The MC has mentioned her as a possible reincarnation in their dialogue options.
Please don’t take me too seriously. I’m just very delulu about her being a Camelot MC.
She would have a connection to Vivian and Arthur as well. Speaking of Vivian, I wonder if there’s anyone in Merlin’s Guide who was her past lover. The author has mentioned it beinga possibility on the Tumblr.
It’s been way too long since I last played this. I’m excited to see the heist. And I see the changes made to reflect Tactics talent (I wonder how that’s gonna get used in the heist) and arachnophobia, and I am here for it.
What’s your take on Morgause as an option then? Her entry in Merlin’s Guide is pretty sparse, but reading through the entries of other, related figures kinda fills in the gaps of her story… at least a little bit.
I have so much to say about that, from meta knowledge to guidebook mentions. I would love a little more time to finalize my thoughts on her.
I guess to answer your question for now is I took pictures of when I first started speculated the guidebook might be a clue? They’re kind of outdated, but I don’t have access to my site right now.
@Allenby2 I’ll add her to my list. She is a version of the Lady of the Lake after all. Who wouldn’t want to be her reincarnation? …Aside from her connection to Merlin. I find it interesting how she cares for her children as well.
@Notice_me_senpai It’s so embarrassing having people read my silly thoughts. But, with the sheer volume of OKS information, a huge repository just makes sense? Or maybe not.
Sebile brainrot has me in a chokehold SAVE ME ADRIAN
So look, Cassandra feels suspiciously like Morgana, right? And everyone assumes Morgana is in Avalon where she belongs?
And also, Sebile is kinda well-known for being mistaken for Morgana?
What if the reason Morgana (Cass) is jaunting around in the mortal realm is because Sebile somehow ousted her from Avalon and took her place as Queen there? Either by impersonating her and doing it SO well that even her closest allies/baby daddy/daughter can’t tell, or through more… forceful means?
I’m too old to be embarrassed about my silly hobbies/hyperfixations anymore… the idea of the author cackling over my Sebile “theories” only fuels me to think about them harder!
I think you’re a valuable contributor to the OKS community and should give yourself (and your ideas) more credit.
The version of Guinevere I’M picking (if it’s an option)
Aside from being childhood friends to lovers with Lancelot (and being in love with Lancelot, NOT Arthur) if it’s possible for Guinevere to be fae like in some versions of the story that interpret her constantly being kidnapped as her fae relatives trying to bring her back to the Otherworld…
I also like the idea of Guinevere being more of a tomboy when she was younger (according to Merlin’s Guide, she had a LOT of male childhood friends) and even after she becomes High Queen and has to comport herself appropriately it doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to defend herself when circumstances call for it.
Some other highlights from Merlin’s (Updated) Guide
OK, I finally finished the Camelot background variables spreadsheet for sorting purposes. (I’ve also edited it into the original post that is linked in the FAQ, don’t worry)
Playing with the variables
Using the spreadsheet, I tallied up my points for two separate playthroughs of the Chapter 2 Camelot dream sequence. In both, I was aiming to be Guinevere.
Version # 1, I followed Arthur to the stable and rode with him into the woods (and flirted with him both times)
Version # 2, I talked to Merlin and then sparred with Lancelot (and flirted with him both times)
For Version # 1, my highest variables were BG3 at 16, and DG4 at 23. My lowest variables were BG1 at -17, and DG1 at -12.
For Version # 2, my highest variables were DG3 at 1008 (lock-in), and CG2 at 999 (lock-in). My lowest variables were BG1 at -1004 (lock-out), and AG4 at -992 (lock-out).
Interesting that BG1 was my lowest variable both times… but otherwise, I’m not seeing many similarities.
As a Mordred glazer myself, your theory is solid. Perhaps (if Mordred is an option) we can choose to be an outright rebellious Mordred who raised his sword against Arthur, or someone that was manipulated by Morgause or something like that
I love any and all theories and suggestions! It’s genuinely enthralling for me to work with a lot of theories and whittle away at them as I get evidence. If I don’t, I’ll get so terribly bored.
That means a lot, seeing how late as am I to OKS. Since it’s the holidays, I have been working on the website more.
I’ve missed it.
Such an adorable Nikki. I loved playing the game. I’m such a completionist.
Hehe. My unfounded hope is that Mordred is somehow connected to the lying about amnesia secret.
@Notice_me_senpai I don’t have a Discord account, sadly! Maybe one day? Discord looks too overwhelming for me.
I’ve just realized I never sent in my stats for when I play. Is it helpful for me to send in my stats?
For context, I’ve played into the triple digits and overanalyze my options. Is it still helpful to send in stats if I’m aware of what options influence which choices? I’ve always assumed my stats wouldn’t be as natural as they could be.
