Thank you. Although I am both surprised that the travel first aid kit is in MC’s inventory, and sad that I won’t get to make demon toast or demon coffee using the toaster and coffee maker.

The travel first aid kit is something you’ll have to choose to use and is small enough to carry, so that’s why it’s part of the actual inventory. Now that I think about it, I should probably stick it in the Free Time Hub as an option instead of pestering Merlin for healing.

And then comes the outlier to all the other data points people have been providing. Just a fair warning, there’s not too many “and then the MC transcends the limits of humanity” stat checks in the first game (which is what a 60+ single stat check would be, since normal peak best-in-the-world humans top out in the 50s.)

There’s Psycho, Fatal Attraction, The Shining (well, more axe crazy there than anything) and such references sprinkled around.

I wonder if, in the coming free time segment, we will have a chance to go shopping and/or mail out any pearls of protection we wish to dispense (Maia and Lili would get two (one each) from my main MC, as does Apple, Ed, and Zain (if we know the club members’ mailing addresses))–assuming they work as advertised. Of course if we use any electronic payment, that’s very likely tipping the demons off that we aren’t dead in the fire. It’s for us to decide if shopping is worth it.

Mailing out the pearls of protection is indeed one of the activities you can do during the Free Time periods. No more shopping for awhile though (until after everyone finally joins the group), the rest stop was meant to be the big inventory restocker for the first half of the game.(““Shopping”” on the the hand…)

Been really enjoying the wip. I struggled a bit in the part where we need to stop people from approaching Merlin but i’m able to do it in my second run. I love that there’s a lot of customization in the game and a lot of references to other media!!

Thanks for the comment! Being able to save the entire apartment complex with no casualties (outside of all of MC’s possessions) was meant to be the hardest stat check in Chapter 1, although going by the data points turned in, it looks like escaping the hydra under the bed was functionally the hardest for most MCs.

In the Chores menu, the option for modding of phones or something like that:-

In the re-evaluation hub choose to believe that the gods will come to help you(if you hadn’t done so previously)(+1 purity)

Same thing but you decide that the Gods suck and now choosing the option thatis fully negative gives you a(-1 purity)

You only need 3 purity points for one of the requirements for being Percy’s soulmate, and according to the code you can still be a pottymouth and have atleast 3 purity.

Will>=7, cuckoo>=30,no corruption, don’t be a coward, 1 or higher hero stat(the easy way is to rescue your clubmate), have 100 sweetness or your inner mind is sweet, have a pure stat greater than 3 (no serial killlers)

Quick heads up that the Open Beta will be doing a bugfix update sometime tomorrow. This will effect the following sections…

• chapter1 (apartment section at the beginning of the game)
• chapter1-5 (running through the streets from the hellhound)
• chapter1-6 (loredump section in apartment with Merlin)
• chapter1-7 (protecting Merlin casting the ward on apartment building)
• chapter2-2 (the completely normal rest stop)
• chapter2-3 (newest forest & warehouse section)
• gosub (a whole bunch of automated scripts & extraneous scenes)

So any saves made in those sections might break tomorrow (and anyone playing through those sections during the update will get booted back to the beginning of the file).

The Patreon Alpha will also be updating tomorrow to complete Merlin’s section of the Free Time Hub (chapter2-4).

And the version of One Knight Stand on itch.io will also finally be updating to Version 0.23 since (hopefully) most of the bugs have been ironed out by now.

A fourth RO from camelot??? It may be one of those we already know (would even validate some of the theories floating around), might the 11th secret Ro the author mentions also be from camelot? I think 11th RO is a lie (for the author’s workload’s sake). I think there is a chance that Adrian might not be as young as he seems (his interlude is what makes me think that, as does his persistent connection to MC even at the worst possible starting relationship), but it could also be him having memories of his past reincarnations with MC by his side (since we still don’t know who he was). As for two ROs being exes, that is one heck of a secret, but who among this crew doesn’t have a crazy secret?

I already stuck the scene into the Free Time Hub at this point, so it won’t be coming up on any routes anymore. Anyone who wants Adrian’s opinions on nonhumans? Off to Free Time you go!

You normally get 3-4 passes through the hub per chapter, depending upon if the MC is slothful or not. Other stuff (like Adrian cornering the MC that took the Benoni surname as a pseudonym who didn’t already trigger that conversation earlier) can also eat up a free time slot as well.

I’m guessing that kicking the addiction (or not) is a book-long, if not saga-long problem? Would working toward it be part of the free time hub, if kicking the fears is? Or is it because the fears are less crippling than the addiction?

I’m curious, who do you people think is the infiltrator at this point? I think Cassandra is the likeliest one.

Also, I’m 100% willing to trust Adrian and Lorelei, no questions asked, I’ll stab myself if they tell me to.
I trust Merlin to be one of the “good guys”, I just don’t trust them to have my best interest in mind.
Percy is Percy, I see too much character development in his future to seriously consider him an infiltrator candidate.
Gwen is a wildcard, I don’t really have much on her background to say.
Broderick is a normal dude, he’s obviously not hiding anything. Other than being a little crazy on the head and having a tendency to steal stuff, I’d say he’s ok.

I think it might be Cassandra because she’s supposed to be investigating us and be introduced early enough that she’d have time to sabotage stuff and not so early as to be the clear cause of shit going wrong. Also, I think she’d have all the tools and connections necessary to make our life harder without being outed as the culprit. She’s supposed to be smart, strong, charming and relatively dependable, which is just the perfect persona for someone that’s tricking people and gaining their trust.There’s also been a lot of censuring on Tumblr about her background and reactions.

What do you guys think? Anything else that we can throw at Cassandra? Something that’s overly suspicious of the other harbingers?

I can’t wait to be proven wrong, It’ll be really fun if Adrian, Merlin or Lorelei end up being the infiltrator .

My honest opinion that everyone can be the infiltrator beside Merlin, Merlin probably want arthur to awake but others??? It’s fair game.

For example there is a chance Adrian might be the infiltrator, if you’re smoking he will throw your match away, he seem to be aware stuff that happening but choose to not act to actively prevent stuff from happening like in fencing club, sword is breaking left and right he just stood there doing nothing, being infiltrator doesn’t mean you need to be actively sabotaging you just let runaway train crash and it just as good as sabotaging.

If you ask me so far everyone seem to be potential spy need more investigation.
