Forgot to post this here, but a bunch of people on Tumblr were getting weird errors due to their browsers caching an old version of the game. LMK if the errors are still persisting even after you’ve refreshed your browser page and restarted from the beginning.
Public Service Announcement
If you’re getting an error in Chapter 1, please reload the game in your browser and restart from the very beginning. (No loading any previous saves, start from the title screen then replay through the prologue etc.)
If you’re still getting an error message after that, please send the exact text of the error. Since I’m currently sick I won’t be able to do any bugfixes for awhile, but that will greatly help in determining what might be happening later on.

How’d you get past the sword rack error? On both my laptop and phone the page freeze on that scene once I pick an option

Ok so I tried again this time touched neither text messages or the save files before the error and the saves were touched after it and I managed to actually complete the demo!

Yeah, that was me trying to program an automatic refresh for all these people that were having caching issues, but I give up, they’ll have to clear their caches. I’ve just been making things worse and I think I might’ve accidentally jettisoned everyone’s previous save files in the attempt. 
I reset the index.html back to normal so you can play now.
FYI to everyone, the updated version of the game has “Version 0.13” in the lower right corner. If you don’t see that, stop, do not pass go, and clear your browser’s cache until it appears. (I also found while messing around that it’s Chrome that refuses to show the new version until the cache is cleared, while Waterfox & Firefox showed it fine to me)
You can test if Chrome etc needs to have have its cache cleared by opening the game in Incognito mode. If Version 0.13 shows up there but not in the normal mode then it’s a caching issue.
I’ll be crawling off now & won’t be back until I’m feeling a bit better.

Haven’t finished thru the whole update yet, but this bug (heh) just bugs me (hehe).
So in the polo route, when you leave your house you get messages from Adrian, your other friend, from work, and that spam message, right? For fencing, Adrian’s text doesn’t show up, only the other three. But he still says that he texted you and the narration says that you just didn’t reply to him.
His text only shows up later, with the creepy-ass message when you and Adrian leave the studio.
(In my first run, Adrian’s message actually showed up alongside’s Merlin’s long-ass novel, but when I replayed it showed up with the creepy text)

The fencing route has the bug where our stalker somehow knows about the apartment situation when I didn’t tell him.

When I finalize my outfit and press on “…adjust my clothing into proper position.” I get the following error: “chapter1 line 7165 gosub doesn’t contain label clothes_doff”

Im able to save Z’s life , however i get the error

To @justme @HarleyQueen @Chorn and anyone else who’s getting an actual error (can’t detect variable, can’t find label) from the game… your browser is showing you an old cached version of the game, so there’s nothing I can do from my end. All I can suggest is to clear the browser’s cache or try playing in incognito mode.
Quite a bit of the stuff you reported doesn’t exist in the current version of the game, so you’re definitely still being shown some of the old scene files. Are you seeing Version 0.13 on the start screen for the game?
Otherwise, I’m completely confounded, because you said you cleared your cache already, right? I’ve no clue how else we can get your browser to actually show the correct version of the game.
