Thanks for all the stats + comments! I’m somewhat surprised that Merlin & the chores seem to be the most popular thing to do during Free Time.
It’s already possible to try and do a CAN YOU READ MY MIND, MERLIN?! conversation with them in the game. Merlin admits to nothing in that regard!
*stares at the interpretive dance variable*
Unless you mean something that only mute MCs can do, in which case, not that I can think of.
Can confirm, little sanity left. Also, quite a few of those “Not Yet” sections were actually already written, but I removed them from the code for being too spoilery (since they can’t be naturally triggered at this point in the game)
And you have plenty of stalkers to choose from when it comes to Arthur’s case!
Meanwhile, Merlin… ( ,⩌’︿'⩌,)
Thanks for the heads-up. Most of the *check_achievements’s are to make sure the same achievement doesn’t pop up multiple times (otherwise, the Possessed one would keep cropping up dozens of times in a possessed playthrough). There are a couple of one-offs like the one that checks to see if any of the dead end achievements have ever been triggered in any playthrough for a fourth wall break with the Lying About Amnesia MC. It’s fine if that doesn’t work properly in the Alpha/Beta.
Or all of the above!
No, the vast majority (although not all) of the affinity with the potential Camelot MC’s comes from the Camelot flashback/dream sequences.
According to my calculations, there are currently 57 magic points up for grab in the game, but some of them are mutually compatible. The highest magic stat that’s been reported is 65 which makes me squint.
The current average is 16, which is more in line with my calculations.
Otherwise, you can certainly headcanon that the MC knows sign language, but it’s not coming up unless it becomes plot relevant.
Yep, Morgan being Mordred’s mother is a modern invention and never happened in ye olde Arthurian lore. Far as I can tell, it seems like it was the 1980s blockbuster movie Excalibur that really popularized it (which makes sense, if you’re cramming the entire plotline into 1 movie, you need to smash a bunch of characters together) which was shortly followed by the New York Times bestseller Mists of Avalon having ‘Morgaine’ as the birth mother and Morgause as the foster mother.
