You have to use notepad++ (or a similar progamming program,but not Microsoft Word because it changes the format).
The game won’t work if you don’t have correct indentation and labels for all of your goto commands. If you just want to have the text show up once the player clicks the choice, you can delete the *goto and use a fake choice.

I’m afraid this old head can’t seem to take it all in.
My best way forward, I believe, as I am a fantasy writer, would be to partner up with someone to make a game. I can supply the story and work with an experienced game script maker.

Have you tried chronicler? It’s a program that is a visual layout of the game rather than text files. It’s a fantastic tool for visual learners like me. So far I’ve been able make big advancement in a short period of time and don’t mind showing you some of my work.
