I’m having trouble with getting started on coding a game, I have no idea what I’m doing. Tried following a basic guide for ChoiceScript, however, something always seems to be different and it leaves me incredibly confused. If anyone could help me figure everything out, that would be great!
The guide linked in this thread did a lot to help me get the basics.
CoG’s very own introduction page is where I got started, right here.
But otherwise like Roderic said, the tutorial on the forum is really good, stays up to date, and has the solution for many common pit falls. You can also, always, just ask for help. Like you’ve just done. Many, many, people here, just like helping people.
I found using CSIDE very helpful, and I couldn’t imagine not using it. It comes with an excellent interactive tutorial, which is itself written in ChoiceScript.
You can all so use VsCode or Notepad plus plus do yours is a very good choice. @Jonathan_Bagelman
