NarraScope 2019 (Con for Interactive Fiction)

Last night I got to meet @Eric_Moser, @adrao, and @Chris_Conley! Holy cats what a pack of talent.

T-minus a couple hours until I get to meet even more of our crew and pontificate on Bandersnatch with @heather, Emily Short, Ian Thomas, and our grump in chief comrade @jasonstevanhill! Too excited.

Yes it most definitely was great to be surrounded by creatives, especially the CoG/HG folks!

Indeed, great conference. Between the talks with other authors, CoG staff, and the speakers I feel that I learnt SO much! And, on a personal level it was great meeting you all!

Though… I realized this morning that we forgot to take a group photo! I guess we’ll have to repeat next year, and remember to take one!

It was too short and so much fun. A conference entirely devoted to interactivity and largely about text-based games was an unprecedented professional and social experience for the COG team and our authors. Ya’ll have to realize that even the COG team doesn’t get to see each other very often. It’s super unusual that @jasonstevanhill and I saw each other twice this year already for Nebulas and NarraScope.

Big ups to people I got to meet for the first time like @adrao, @Gower, @Eric_Moser, @Chris_Conley, and other non-forumite folks like Bendi Barrett (Avatar of the Wolf) and Vlad Barash (Demon Mark: A Russian Saga). And “always a pleasure” to folks like @heather and @kgold. It is very special for us to get to spend time with our tribe. And smdh at @Moochava for not coming; I’m going to drag you next year.
