I found a poll! Polls about COG, HG, and IF games
It covers whether people prefer self inserts / versions of self inserts, vs a crafted/rp character.
If the self insert and almost self insert crowd where to be counted together they would be a large majority, which is sort of what I expected. But it is still and interesting poll.
