Oh please no need to apologize, I feel bad when I’m just deadweight in a playtest.
Read it properly this time, I thought the changes were very good
Are you planning a fantasy novel (with a title like Mageguard that’s what comes to mind) or more Indiana Jones with magic realism?
Thank you! Glad to hear.
This is more Indiana Jones with magic realism. Urban fantasy-ish. The majority of the first book will take place in the real world with consistent fantasy elements. The ending is where you’ll see more of the magic and fantasy play in. The other books will include more of the fantasy, but a good chuck of them will also exist in this world. I kinda feel like it’s Harry Potter or Shadow Hunters kind of fantasy, if that makes sense.
Tbh, the title will likely change. I was trying to think of something that will connect all three stories I have planned and the mageguard are something across all three. But I kinda hate that title for this. I think I’m going to change to Lost Artifacts: The Search for El Dorado.
Okay I’m kinda hooked, that angsty route with Blake is what I live for. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Thank you!
Yassss, I love it! I love history, adventure, and romance so I’m ready to kiss everyone and solve mysteries!
Hey readers!
I’m slowly working on the next chapter and I wanted to get your opinion on one thing. Originally, I did not have a love triangle planned, however, as I’m writing this, I’ve been thinking about adding one in. If there were to be a love triangle, it would be between Blake and Scotty (which might really make my life complicated down the line, but it could be fun). Also, this would mean an additional romance path and there would still be an option to romance Blake and Scotty individually.
Anyway, what do you all think? Are you a fan of love triangles/are interested in seeing one in this book?
- Yes! Give me all the angst.
- No, not a fan of love triangles.
- It’s your story, you do you!

Hi, I just wanted to note that this makes it seem like the game is gender-locked to female, despite the game itself actually being gender choice! It should probably be “their” to make it gender-neutral.
(I haven’t read the demo itself yet so I can’t offer any feedback, but I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the typo in the first post!)
Oh, yes, thank you!
I mean, I’m not a fan of love triangles, but its existence as an option doesn’t negatively affect me in any way. I just wouldn’t pick it. Unless it can become a poly option.
