That… And that the character intros are a remnant from an old draft lol. Of course by characterization Chen Kun is a very loyal - some would say TOO loyal - man who would always repay a debt and never breaks his pinky promises (although those r more a Long Qing and Jin thing for vastly different reasons lol). At the moment his commitments are: MC>Magical Community (woah I just realized the acronym is also MC lol)>Empress for bringing you tgt and starting his magical training. So in a way he literally owes your mother for everything he cherishes in his life now, and he never forgets that.
Anyways the Empress is firmly on your side - although this may be troubling for MCs who don’t want the throne bc that’s her No. 1 Motive: she’s made too many enemies in court for her and you to survive if Long Qing becomes Emperor aaand some other spoilery reasons.
I promise I will try to include options to satisfy the range of Things Players Want to Do to Chen Kun^TM… But currently there r no plans to set up a Grand Sacrifice/Massacre of main characters. Wow that sounds morbid, is this why I’ve been having nightmares for two nights straight now… Bc of Chen Kun’s position in the game (always by your side, which the other ROs will not be) it will cripple the narrative structure to allow the MC to kill/severe the bond mid-game bc it doesn’t rly make sense to me to destroy your relationship with your closest, most faithful ally while you are constantly meeting new prospective ally-enemies.
HOWEVER this may be possible at the end of the game but w minimal emotional aftermath/consequences etc except for an ending scene.
Speaking of endings, there will be a TON bc I love endings and bc it’ll be my last chance to pour my love for the characters out lol.
Yay! I mean I’m still gonna romance him of course but only after I kill him.
I meant that my mc would probably be happy to give his life for Chen’s, should it come to that. 
So the one who’d die in that case would be my mc, not mage-boy.

Hey, I like this game. It’s looking pretty awesome so far. I really like the scene the dragon for some reason.

I second the sentiments of @Brant_Smith and @Megus. The type-in option for hair color is a little buggy too, the text that was supposed to accompany the type box ended up being on a preceding page.

Nah, this looks about right. It basically is a posher way of saying “Likewise.” You can usually find this phrase in more antiquated text, or at least in the writings of someone into antiquated text.
