I don’t see the point of doing that when running “find in files” in Notepad++ is much easier and doesn’t require me writing additional lines under every single check.
(And I’d need a spreadsheet to sort out the results anyway. I know how my brain works.)
i’m not sure if this would help, but this is code that works for generating reports based on the statistical breakdown of the stats used on ur stats page. i was playing around with it a few months back to see how high the relationship variables could get in a play through.
Got a bit more work done today! I thought that I didn’t do nearly as much as I wanted to, but then I got to looking at the list haha.
Created the process to convert parts that’re identified from their temp variables to a permanent identified part list for the job.
Added code to calculate all currently harvested parts values together to create the total current value earned in the job as a script that’s re-ran anytime part changes occur.
Finalized all of the identification system script by adding a chance that you fail to identify with appropriate error scripts, added text that recognizes if your operations is over a certain amount showing that you’re a skilled operator, added remaining identification text and UI cleanup with image implementation for text-image of Salvage System.
Began proper system refactor to convert permanent salvage variables initialized in startup.txt to temp variables to cut down on bloat and optimize startup times on mobile devices, this new refactor will be scalable and applicable (in process/theory) to all professions.
Decentralized profession architecture starting with salvage by localizing individual jobs to files split by class of job (A, B, C, D, E) and whether or not vehicle/ship which provides huge optimizations by limiting any use of *gosub_scenes down to just *gosub’s.
I feel like the northern hemisphere is on fire at this point. I hope it gets better soon, so that your recovery can be more peaceful.
I finally reached a place in my IF where I can take a breather. It’s nice to be in that space between scenes where you can take the time to plot the next section and let the creative powers that be simmer for it bit. But also, yeah, the heat is making my brain a soupy mess and I’d like to just nap in a hammock for the rest of the season.
ETA: I did not know this site had cake days? I should not have been surprised by the cake… and yet…
I’m literally sitting at my computer in shorts and that’s it. Thankfully it doesn’t seem as bad as yesterday so far. Hoping to get some stuff done this morning.
I would not assume England would be very hot. It’s been getting in the 100s here in Missouri every day but I can always freeze myself with AC inside. In fact, even in this weather I wear hoodies because it’s better to get baked outside than have your sweat freeze to your body any time you go indoors, residential or commercial
