Yeah that one was on purpose!

Ah, excellent. The unscrupulous win again.

Minor issue, but when you have an outstanding loan from the Templars, the mention of it pre-empts any report of how much income you’re getting. 6_turning_wheel, lines 193-202.

Can anyone give me hints on how to trigger these three achievements, they are the only ones I have left:

Slam Dunker
Visionary
Innovator

Innovator: As a technician, make the special building available to you in your fiefdom, and use it to bring something new to the middle ages.

Visionary: Don’t meet with your mysterious visitor on the road to Jerusalem.

Slam Dunker: Befriend your neighboring lords and ladies with an invitation to a tournament of a new sport, but make sure you’re adequately athletic.

edit: @Wiwyums I realize that there’s no acknowledgment, when the templars come to ask you to remove all muslims from positions of power in your fief, if you yourself are openly muslim. Not quite sure what would be appropriate there, but it seems like a bit of an oversight, especially as (if you’re particularly foolhardy) you can actually go ahead and do it.

@Dominic

Thank you much my good sir!

Though it also appears that, for the mysterious visitor to show up in the first place, you either need othernessness 60+, to have expressed a goal of finding your crew towards the beginning, expressed a hawkish philosophy, or met Simorg through the fake beggar early on.

how do you get the special smith to work on your Archon, i’m not sure how to do it.

You can either try persuading him (needs a high charisma score) or tell him your archon is an intersting machine and he can experiment as he pleases (needs a high technician score). Threatening him never turns out well!

If it comes to help him or romance Isabella… I’m sorry John, but you will not be made a knight.

I really dislike siding with a certain figure, can you spoiler for me the 3 advances needed. I don’t want to have to play through a dozen times trying to figure it out. I am pretty sure of one but the others … ???

There are a bunch of things that give ā€œadvances,ā€ but they’re mostly in the fiefdom management section.

As a pilot, building an archon training course.
As a doctor, building a hospital.
As a technician, building a workshop.
Improving the school and choosing to teach all the advanced knowledge you can remember.
Spending time writing down as much as you can remember about the 21st.
As a doctor, spending time improving hygiene/sanitation/etc in the fief.
As a technician with a workshop, choosing to use it to build bicycles.

Then in Jerusalem, choosing to spend time sharing your knowledge with the great minds of the time gives one as well.

Thanks again @Dominic

So, I tried romancing Tonzo and Sana following the hints, but I still turned up unlucky. Any specific hints for romancing those 2 in particular?

For Sana: You must go Caliphate, never turn down or away. Be attracted and never hesitate and don’t lie about being in love with Viv. If you do happen to encounter Harun refuse or lie and betray him. Also your assertive score needs to be high, I mean 65+ before she comes to take you to her mom. Also when I romanced her, I did everything I could to find the person from the market. When she is holding the sword watching be aggressive. Either take the sword or attempt to kiss her. Just reaching out is not assertive enough for her taste. And if you finally succeed prepare yourself, no other romance is even close to it. The one absolute is you must abandon Tonzo and join the Caliphate.

For Tonzo: I really don’t know, never romanced any of the dudes. Just not my thing.

I love this game and bought it. I hope you can continue this story further.

Thank you! I don’t think a direct sequel will be possible but I also don’t feel that I’m done with the world just yet so hopefully I’ll return to it in the future…

I just hope to read you in COG/HG in future. Your writing is so different and I love it.

Thanks! I certainly hope to keep writing for CoG. I’m also planning on putting a few of my older piece together in HG, I started a thread for it here: Your First Giant/ The Tower of Clavius Boon

EDIT: I just noticed that the topic I linked to is now locked because 60 days have passed since the last reply. That’s a shame because I was hoping to add something else to it this week - does anyone know if I can unlock it again or is it better to start a new topic?

I guess you can ask one of the mods to help you unlock it, or if they suggest better to open new thread.
