Well based off what the previous poster said what is the relationship point total with your parents?
This is the condition check for the parent song.

It’s possible that it’s bugged. Infamous is, well, infamous for being buggy. But given the code isn’t easily available it can be hard to tell. My other best guess is you don’t have a high enough parentslove, it’s a pretty hard stat to raise.
If you’re playing on desktop, could you check your variables? Hit F12 and go to the console tab and type this in:
this.stats.talktosev
replace talktosev with the other variables and see what values they return.

Umm, if you don’t mind, do you know which dialogue options will increase the parents love points? If I remember correctly, there are two scenes where MC has a talk with their parents, the first one with their mom, and then their dad.
Unfortunately no, there’s a bunch so it’s hard to point to them all out. And they all have very small increases, so if you miss one or you select on of the more negative response and lose points it’ll hard to make the points back up.

This is obviously going to be spoilers but these are the choices that give you “parentslove” points. You basically have to be dedicated to picking them otherwise you’re probably not going to have enough. The only option I didn’t pick that isn’t locked behind a specific route (blake & seb car route, victoria solo scene) was the one about phoning your parents before a gig during the 1st interview.
PROLOGUE
“Even though you’re probably not watching, I love you mom and dad.” choose to speak when you win the audition.
“Want them to be proud” at the party
CHAPTER 1
“You’ve long forgiven them” during the 1st interview
“Calling your parents, whether they pick up or not is another story” during the first interview

“What would my parents say?” While you’re watching the 1st episode of BOTB on the bus i think
“Sorry, how are you?” convo with mom
“Love you too.” convo with mom
“I have this sudden urge to cry.” have to go down to see Seb & Maya
“Take a picture to send to your parents.” after the photoshoot? I think
“Hey dad, I was hoping to hear from you.” convo with dad
“I’m sorry i didn’t mean to embarrass you guys” convo with dad
“Okay, okay.” NOT the one where you’re lying, convo with dad
CHAPTER 3
“…your parents, who may or may not be watching you now.” first choice of chapter 3

“To your family that you are.” who you want to prove yourself to (i don’t exactly remember where this pops up. i think it just happens organically but i could be wrong)
“To both yourself and your family that you are.” same as above, they give the same amount of points
CHAPTER 4
“You don’t want them to have a low opinion of you.” during the convo with jazzy
“I still want to make them proud for some reason.” say “do you think my parents will be mad” when talking to jazzy
“Not with the people that matter.” during the convo with triple after the o run
“So do mine.” after the staged scene with the band when you’re talking to august
“You think of your parents. You wish you were closer.” during the victoria solo scene
“I want to make my parents proud.” song convo with 7
“Despite hearing that, it still made you a little happy.” after listening to the voicemail from your mom
“They’re trying their best.” you have to choose to talk to 7 about your parents

Finally finished chapter 5. AWESOME. I’m usually a scifi/horror guy, but this slice of life is easily in my top 5 COGs. Seriously you have a solid part 1 you could release with pretty minimal polishing. There are a few typos, and a couple little glitches, but what you have here is on the very high end of the curve for this type of game. The length is already larger than many part 1 releases I have played. Seriously Amy, this is some top notch work. Cheers.

I had no idea there were that many of them! I’d been playing a semi-estranged “we’re not close; we just do our own things” MC, and hadn’t realized there was anything for MCs that wished it were different.
…This is absolutely begging but I don’t suppose you have any similar insights on how to get closer to Blake? 
I’m getting the friendly/flirty flavor text but somehow I don’t have enough points for them to invite me to ditch dinner with the Caruso family.

Unfortunately, I don’t. I was really desperate to get the parents song from Seven so I dedicated a lot of time to figuring out how to get it. 
I did accidentally get the invite on a different MC that wasn’t particularly nice to Blake, mostly sarcastic/flirty and a bit mean. The only insight I have is that friendly & flirty dialogue options don’t always raise their approval and you need >60 approval to get the invite.
I’ve avoided a lot of the teasing flirts that I thought were bordering on being outright mean, and I wonder if in so doing I just haven’t netted enough relationship points.
In a narrative sense it would kind of make sense if Blake thought I was either too boring or suspiciously “nice”… but I think I’m actually just a victim of game math and my own tendency to overthink. 
Maybe Blake is just like Sevie in the needing to be bullied a tad to open up quality. I haven’t had a problem with his romance on a char that routinely used rougher flirts and went with her in the car sequence. G feels softer in that regard - the most you can do is be a tad sarcastic, he goes ballistic if you actually try calling him out on his shit.

Does anyone knows how to win episode 2 (chapter 5) of BotB? I managed to win once by chance but idk how to do it again
I think you have to write for Soft Violence (dunno if UW is still bugged and results in an auto loss) and be faithful to the stats of your character: either stay in and write, follow the script and be professional (dunno about resting) or party, improvise and generally rely on your team spirit. Can’t check exactly, but from what I remember in the discussions the win is tied to consistent pattern of behaviour and rest.
