I treasure this particular prompt mainly because it shows how much of a codependent mess Seven and MC were back then. More energy like that in the studio, onegai shimasu!
I specifically hope that in the rewrite we’ll get mutual toxicity. It really felt like it was MC alone who was dragged over hot coals by Seven - aside from lashing out at Avina, there was nothing toxic…

Durian raccoon energy was not enough, we need Love Island levels of drama from both sides. If the groups aren’t starting fights each time they see each other pass by at the end of BoTB, I have failed as an organizer.

I was too distracted by smut to notice much codependency. Though, the comment about checking Sev’s bowels and the fact that the other two believed it was disturbing as hell, lol.
Yeah, the MC felt like a doormat before. Less so after the rewrite.
ROTF! I wonder if we’ll get a MC/Seven hate-fucking scene before they get their shit together. I think I’d actually play Seven’s route if we got that. And if stupid Avina got to see it and it destroyed them.

Ah, you’re tearing me apart now, Chani! Now I actually want to see something like this, and I probably won’t! Like, alcohol, drugs, a very stressful afterparty, someone starting shit, MC and Seven joining in, the fight that turned into drunken sex… that sounds like such potential for either drama or romance, and it would be fun!
I actually might even write something like that now.
Not much of a speedrun with Dakota. We talked for several seconds and he already started gnawing the mic pole in the toilet. We’d have to count seconds and milliseconds for the WR charts.

Eh, don’t feel sorry. I feel like reading POVs this early on in the story potentially (depending on how they’re done) takes away a little from the mystery, anyway. I’m perfectly fine with waiting until later to find out if Avina’s like… secretly evil or something. lol
(I also was personally hoping for at least a hate makeout myself.

Though it always makes me a bit worried, especially so early into the project. Side stories take time to write, time that could in theory be used to write/edit/think about the main story

Yeah, I was thinking when reading this thread that… if anything, Infamous has made me avoid side content and characterization info on tumblr. Before reading the patreon POVs, I saw Seven and their band as a legit serious rival. Now… not so much.
It kind of ruins the mystery if I know the twists well before we’re even a quarter into the actual story. Which I think is also another issue in itself - the game is so early in development but as we’ve seen with this WIP, the fanbase is going to build very strong opinions, perspectives and even anxieties based on all the side content and tidbits given - even though it’s all liable to change and we’ve yet to experience the intended narrative.
That being said, it makes a lot of sense for marketing and development to share spoilers, especially because games of this nature can take a very long time. It’s entirely a personal thing, and a lot will prefer to know things well ahead of time. But I’ve learned it doesn’t really work for me so avoiding blogs and side content has become my go to for these early development WIPs. At least you’ll have a nice backlog to check out once you do finally dip into it

I cancelled my Patreon subscription a couple of months ago, and haven’t read a single post or been active here ever since, for this very reason. I also felt very overwhelmed by the amount of extra info and POVs and I knew that by the time the games would be out I would be too biassed to fully enjoy it. But as you said, it’s very personal and marketing wise it’s a great strategy. Also as much as I love to overanalyze Seven’s behaviour and personality and their dynamics with the MC and Avina I was also feeling Seven’s fatigue 
, at the end of the day there’s just so much I can speculate about.
That said I’m looking forward to the public update, from the little shared here the rewrite sounds pretty awesome.

There are ALOT more choices for your mc and it makes them seem abit less railroaded into stuff so the “doormat mc” argument goes away haha. Can’t share too much bc spoilers but a few additions to scenes that are funny and yeah excited for when it’s fully public

I never felt the MC was too much of a doormat, more of a people-pleaser, but I’m happy to hear they feel more customizable. I’m looking forward to the new RO as I think they could be someone my main MC would be interested in (though she’s all for G and Orion, I just love those two) and for the fight snippet. Several things don’t make sense to me without some context of what happened during that fight and having some info here and there before the big reveal definitely helps.

Only a snippet? I hoped to see the fight in full - like, you don’t just blow up at your bestie or lover like that without some very heavy reasons.
