Yikes
I don’t think they’ll do anything to the MC, but they surely are obsessed about Seven and about fixing them and cracking them open to understand all their inner thoughts.
I don’t get it why they desperately need that. Instead of just being…happy with having 7 with them. ![]()
It’s because Avina is someone used to fixing the problems of people around them, if they see someone they care about suffering they want to help, it’s in their nature but it comes off as pushy and weird. If someone wants to be let alone leave them be or offer silent support, instead they want to talk, and prod to get answers when it’s clear Seven doesn’t want to talk in that moment and just wants to be let alone.
They also have this internal monologue that they don’t understand how even after confiding in Seven and telling them everything, Seven still doesn’t do the same (it doesn’t work like that Avina) and they’re always comparing themselves to the MC. They desperately want to be what the MC was for Seven but the bottom problem is that they don’t understand Seven… like at all. They think they do because Seven just does things to appease them, like “opening up” even when they don’t want to or smiling just to make Avina happy even though they feel miserable. And Avina sees all that as wins, like “yeah I did that, I made them smile.” ![]()
And there’s the whole “you’re my best friend”, Avina repeats like 3 times in that pov but Seven just sees them as their closest friend at the moment because the bff spot was reserved for the MC and no one has been able to fill it. Avina going on about it is just cringe.
These are just my thought so 100% speculation but I feel like what little we learned about Avina puts so many things into perspective about the way they act not only with Seven but with their band too. Them growing up taking care of their siblings and parents too. I think they’ve always had to “hold the fort” so to speak. The way they “scold” Pope and Kieran for how they talk to Seven sometimes, or chastise them&Seven when they’re out of line. Running after the one who is upset to “fix” it. And making sure everyone gets along. Peak eldest sibling behavior. ![]()
Also comparing the way Avina talks about Seven now and how much they like them and they need to make sure they’re okay and the way Seven talks about how they were with MC in their povs and the flashbacks… It’s chock full of parallels.
And Seven compares Avina and MC not only at the end but before too subconsciously if you ask me. I wonder if it’s a thing they used to do before too or it’s only a thing now that MC is back in their life. When they complain about Avina not getting it imho it’s about things that one would straight up need telepathy to get.
Or a dozen years joined at the hip
It’s an unfair judgement especially considering the fact that they’ve hardly opened up to Avina about the important things. Avina is somehow at the same time sooo much better than MC and doesn’t hold a candle to them.
Anyways it’s all so messy I love it ![]()
Wonder, are we going to have a conversation after a sometime?
This is a little weird statement to me, because i’ve never got impression Blake wasn’t trying to pose as smart or make people think they aren’t. Quite the opposite, they seem to act in the standard way of a B-grade tryhard: “i know it all and the rest of you are so beneath me, now dance for me, monkeys”.
(though to be fair they potentially show glimpses of softer side in private, like during the ride on the bus)
They also say that they’ve never had a friend as close as seven before…I’m guessing that makes them want to cling more onto seven out of fear of being left.
Buuuut it’s going to be super awkward if mc and seven get bk together because they won’t be able to do a lot of the things they do now e.g. sleep in the same bed, cling to seven, always talk to them constantly…
Barriers are going to have to be addressed some point down the line.
Yeah, cause the “this is me, my boyfriend/girlfriend and his/her best friend”, trying to fit in the same bed would get awkward.
Honestly they need boundaries and healthy distance regardless of whether one of them gets in a relationship or not, bc they’re falling headfirst into codependency imho
Dropped mc and their very codependent relationship and jumped into Avina very codependent relationship (platonic fn). The irony.
Especially with these tour bus beds. /s
They can make a schedule. “MC it is now my turn to sleep with Seven. To the couch with you.”
No idea how that would work if MC chooses Blake trash can bus, or wants to bang 7. Avina wait outside?
Alvina would probably want to keep eye on things to make sure MC and Seven stay well hydrated. Those older sister instincts can’t just get turned off like that.
There are more povs? Sigh… opens wallet
I’m sorry but Alvina???![]()

“No, no, no. You’re doing it all wrong, MC. Here, let me show you.”

After seeing this, I decided to read the code (still didn’t want to play it) and actually agree with you. Saint Avina seems totally unhinged about Seven.
Really, it makes me wonder if Avina is behaving like Seven did with the MC and Seven is in the position MC was in with Seven. I wonder if Avina will lose their shit when Seven and MC reunite (as friends or lovers, not sure it matters). Somehow, I doubt it will be the way that Seven lost it, since Avina tiptoes around and is afraid of upsetting Seven (yet doesn’t think twice about pushing Seven every chance they get).
Reading Avina’s POV was uncomfortable, really. The lack of self awareness on their part is disturbing, as is their over-the-top obsession with Seven and being “better” than the MC.
Seven’s side was an interesting contrast. Little things like Avina noting that their shoulders are touching, when Seven doesn’t even register it. Like how Seven wanted out of Avina’s grasp when they were dragging him along. How Seven’s smile was just to appease Avina, but Avina took it as them “doing that” for Seven. And the obsession Avina has about Seven telling them everything they think and feel, while Seven shared at one point because he knew Avina wouldn’t leave him the hell alone.
Hell, even at the beginning, when Avina chases Seven down and seems to congratulate themself on Seven stopping when Seven wanted to keep going and be alone but didn’t want to hurt Avina. Avina needs to learn to read a damned room. More importantly, Avina needs to learn to give Seven space. It seems Seven never gets a moment alone, because Avina is either imposing themself on him or watching him like a hawk. It’s freaking creepy.
It really is. From Blake’s POV, both MC and Seven are pissing away their chance because they can’t act professional. I’m glad both of my MCs are mostly professional. I found it funny that, when the MC responds in a professional way, Blake can’t help but poke the bear, anyway, showing that he can be just as unprofessional and childish.

I wish it were otherwise. I’d like to see them go psycho on the MC.
I think, instead, Avina will do everything they can to put a stop to Seven and the MC reuniting. If Seven starts to do it, Avina will ‘remind’ Seven how horrible the MC is and trash talk them to keep Seven from making peace.
I think that’s why I just hate Avina, period. I find the character to be cringe. They come off as desperate and superior (“I’m so much better than MC ever could be and Seven is closer to meeeeeeeee!”), and it just makes me want them to go away. For good. I don’t really find anything redeemable about them, since even their “caring” about Seven is more about them and them getting control over Seven than about Seven. “I want Seven to feel better because of me. I want to fix them. I want to fix their problems and keep them away from MC!” It’s very self-absorbed. They may care about Seven, but it’s overshadowed by Avina’s motives, which seem to be all about them.
Probably because Avina has no concept of personal space. If I had a friend who couldn’t give me five minutes alone when I was in a mood, I wouldn’t be able to stand it.
Maybe Avina is just clingy by nature? And Seven is the only one who has never pushed them away and demanded space?
I think they’re already there. It may be a different kind of codependency that Seven/MC had, but the codependency is there. After reading that POV, it seems Avina can’t survive without Seven needing them.
Ha! Avina wouldn’t let them.
