I, the Unbroken One [ITFO2] [Chapter 3 Public Release] [May 28th, 2026]

uhm excuse me but Usurper Marshal is entitled to redemption from everybody because obviously Elya is the true villain of story

how dare she inherit the throne?? like sis stop making a big deal about the whole usurpation thing  all i did was betray her at the last minute, usurp her throne, throw her in the dungeons for 3 months, threaten to kill her if she doesn’t serve me, actually try to kill her during her escape, and then purge the court in a bloody massacre. stop being such a crybaby  like maybe she should think about how i am the true victim here because Rade wants to marry her and not me and that I am completely justified and not at all a tyrant.

You think she can be bribed to settle down with a cabbage farm?

Unfortunately for the False Queen Elya, she rejected my very generous offer for her to renounce her claim to the throne and serve me instead so the only thing she’ll be getting is a swift trip to the cabbageless executioner’s block

I forget the exact timeline but korid had been conquered by kanton so was technically apart of korid I just dont recall how long it had been the case. An ultimately rade who was the only major Nobel to take part in the border wars where korid was involved had to be convinced to do so. If we believe what he claimed about his reward for service and never received.

As for why korid an nowhere else its not really mentioned at least nothing stands out to me so its possible do to geographic location korid was the only battle front. I could be mistaken lol but it would make sense if that was the case and if korid fell then the invaders would have become a very big problem since they were horse lords as well similar to the steppe peoples whom rade fought and now has recruited for his side in the current war.

An yeah there was a orgional forgotten one from wayyyyy back who was a hero of the korid people who had died a very bad death fighting off invaders. The current one is the MC who is a hero for the people of korid for doing the same thing yet was never rewarded by sobik. Though I dont recall when exactly the moniker was given but those that know use it in reference to the MC. Even rade used it in that meeting after belos death if I recall correctly and the korid people do as well but for very different reasons. Where as rade got his title of butcher in the same war which is a feat in itself considering whom they were fighting… now that I’m thinking about it I think they may have got those titles while fighting the invaders by the invaders themselves.

What do you mean? Crowning yourself is always the right choice, it makes the people like you more than any other route. The bastard king of Kanton is actually quite popular.

There clearly were other battle fronts, this is proven because when we get to recruit people in Castle Salutis (which is owned by Baron Ciril), we get the option to recruit veterans from the border wars which don’t give us a “veteran” trait and unlike the Krorid veterans, they don’t seem to know anything about the forgotten one, if at all.

Eh while I will admit to the possibility I also doubt it at the same time in the context of the invaders the MC and eventually rade fought.

Bare in mind havent replayed the first game in full yet after a while of time since I last played lol. Kanton is a big country even what we have seen and will see at least in the first part of the second game is only a portion of the country. Now to the barons case and his vetern troops i would half to play through again to confirm what you say. Which im unsure is true but even if it was the MC didnt command the whole war in korid not even at the start its quite possible not all kanton veterns knew of the MC and even if they knew the bastard child of the king was there its no guarantee they served under them. Korid is a big jungle land afterall. An the title of the forgotten one is very much a korid people thing not one given by kantons where the mc is known but also not known at the same time.

Not really, that one veteran you are talking about definitely recognizes the PC. This really does sound like it was a single territorial incursion that the king figured would be a useful pruning ground for you

You’re going to need the church to back you though in order to stabilize your rule. The church’s opinion is more important than the people’s for this time period. Technologically, there’s no such thing as mass society and couldn’t be so being popular with the masses is less important than it would be in modern or even early modern times.

The obvious conclusion here is to start your own religion.

The Krorid veterans you get at Lanorlay are the ones that specifically served under the Marshal during the Border War. The ones you get at Salutis were involved in the Border War, but not necessarily under the Marshal’s command.

Ik that they weren’t under the Marshall’s command and that the border war likely happened in Krorid for the most part.

But still, recruiting veterans from Salutis still should bring you high veteran presence even if they haven’t been lead by the marshal themselves. Only reason against the idea would be that it may not be well balanced for the gameplay.

Also he probably didn’t think of it. It’s also implied that the specific front of the war the Marshal fought in was much, much more brutal than anything anybody else went through there’s a difference between having general veterans and veterans who you know by name and specifically know how you operate

I haven’t realized of that implication either…

Either way, I still wonder for Bacon’s response because ultimately, even if the Marshall doesn’t knows the Salutis veterans much, if at all. I feel they should’ve been more than just a bigger retinue size…

Also, last thing, they’re probably aren’t even that many of them. You need 600 in Krorid, you might find 100 here, probably even less than that

Oh, I forgot to take that into account, yeah good point, ima just delete my ping to Bacon

Anyways, this particular scene of the first game still makes me laugh lol

I do like running away from the traitors, but I find it much more satisfying to make them bleed.

What kind of decisions lead you to do the bishop a favor when negotiating with him instead of outmaneuvering him?
