I, the Unbroken One [ITFO Sequel] [August 19, 2025] [Short Story Poll]

Weak Elya is the biggest reason. If she’s healthy and weak she won’t play along with the Marshal’s threat (either death or going above his head to report his corruption). If she’s injured, the Marshal has to make a death threat or end up owing him.

Quick update: progress has been going quite well! Until… about two days ago. I’m pretty seriously sick atm and have been laid out all day for the whole weekend (when I make much of my progress). I’m gonna still get done whatever I can and get back into the swing of things when I can actually breathe through my nose again.

this is what happens when a IF doesn’t have enough ROs to keep people’s insanity at bay.

The nerve!

I’d agree.

I know kids these days are such cry babies smh my head.

oh lord that’ll certainly reduce the controversy of your usurpation

I see you have decided on speed running going to war with all your neighbors via crusade declaration from the Pope.

I’ll just go inner voice and invent Protestantism

Hmm, that sounds like something, a rebel, might say…

Let’s be honest here – it’s not like having more ROs is somehow less of a draw for the intense folks.

Hey now, that depends on how successful i am devising religion which will cause neighbors suddenly find themselves in the middle of their own civil religious wars.

When I try to insert the amount of units each part of my army has, I’m unable to use decimals with the numbers.

For example, if in ITFO, I ended with 8.18 infantry, in IUO, I can’t type “8.18” when asked how much infantry I had, I’m forced to put a number without decimals.

I swear I saw something similar before in another game so it’s likely an issue of the CoG game engine…

I think it’s something to do with the demos engine, yeah. I ended up just rounding

Pretty much a coding thing yeah your best option for now is to round to the closest numbers you can get. But at moment it doesn’t matter to much since not really any army fights in second game demo at this time.

Yes, the game engine only accepts integers or text as input. I’ve suggested to work around it by letting the player enter actual numbers of soldiers (which are integers) and then the game simply converting this to relevant “fractions of units” on its end.

Good idea!

@Bacondoneright
Math error: Sobik is 49 when he dies in ITF1, but Veluska says he was twice her age (38 to her 19) when the Marshal was conceived, so he’d have to be 61 when he died (38+7+16). Either that or the math error is in the ITUO demo.

I personally like the idea of him being 20 years older than Mira better too, since it makes his actions more plausible (he’s more desperate than Henry VIII to have an heir, and unlike Hal he’s not insisting on a son).

It also makes Mira even more tragic (doesn’t excuse her, just explains her), if she was married off at 16-17 .

At the evil False Queen Elya no doubt

Can’t wait for my unassuming tactical weapon of war that just wants Mira to chill the hecc out and Elya to be a happy, compassionate queen get pinned to the wall by some Lady that just knows™*.*

Infinite gay panic.
