You’re going to be disappointed. I haven’t played Sleeping Dogs.
Actually I played the first five minutes and it crashed. The big inspiration for Hong Kong Blood Opera is Johnnie To, John Woo, Ringo Lamm, Wong Jing and Tsui Hark.
I think Sleeping Dogs is based on the 14K Triad which is a bit more “street” than the Golden Mountain Society which is an amalgam of older more traditional Triads.
