Help with different paths

Okay, I was sure I wasn’t going to post on this forum for a good long time but, I’m at a bit of a writer’s block here.

To those who write CYOA games, how do you keep your different paths roughly the same length? Do you bother? Does it matter?

The point of your story/game is to provide entertainment for the reader. The various sections/lengths are irrelevant if the final experience is enjoyable.

It may help you to create a flowchart for your story so that you can see at a glance the size/outcome of all the possible journeys/branches in your game.
