Will talk more about it later since I’m still planning how it will go. But all MCs will have to marry and have a child.
Anyway.
I’m thinking about removing Karif as a main RO. I just don’t see him as a man who will settle down for anyone.
Even if he did, he would ask for an open relationship and ask you to travel with him everywhere. Although, it will be a good ending to leave everything and run away with him.
He won’t disappear. You can still romance him but just for a short him, and he will still command his sister’s troops.
Won’t make any final decision until I see how good I will become at coding.
For those who planned to romance him, let me know what you think.
He is the only male RO that will openly pursue a male MC, since he’s open about it and would punch anyone who speaks ill of it.

You actually managed to get most of his story right! 
It’s the ending that I’m worried about where he will want to leave, and the MC doesn’t want to.
That is why I won’t make a decision for now.
You could also try to marry your sister to him. Cat would really like him and would like to explore the world but will put her foot down if there are others involved.

Hmmm…I’m not romantically interested but I plan to marry him to Cat, if possible. For someone, who plans to marry two women, I know it’s kinda ironic that I want this dude to not cheat on my sister. Will kill him if he makes Cat cry.

cat said he wants open relationship. i will definitely not marry him to Catalina. i don’t want to ruin her life.she can marry whoever she loves.her brother is not that much weak that he will use her as tool for alliance.

You obviously know him and the story more than we do, but I actually think his wanderlust (and his actual lust?) can make for a great dynamic with the MC. And a slow dynamic. This would very much be a slow transition
At first, he’ll really like the MC. But of course, he likes a lot of people. We’ll just have some fun. Then he really cares for the MC, but their lives don’t fit. I guess we’ll keep things the same… or maybe do things a little more often. And eventually, he’ll love the MC. But the circumstances haven’t changed. He loves exploring the world, but the MC can’t join him. What can they do?
Ok, I just talked myself into really liking this storyline that doesn’t exist . My point is that I think it can work without changing the character or the story

I planned to but now I don’t think so. Forget about open relationship, the fact that you said that you can’t imagine this dude settling to someone is already a big NO for me.
MC maybe womanizer on his own right but at least we can, and will, choose to take responsibility of our children. Also since we will surely get married, it means that we can give our ROs some security and peace of mind. This dude, on the other hand, is questionable. If he can’t give my sister the security that she deserves then I don’t think Karif deserves her. I don’t hate him, I just don’t want this guy to leave Cat after a one night stand. If he banged my sister without my consent then I’ll castrate him even if I have to fight his war elephants.
I can respect that. I love her too but I really plan to use her. The best thing I could do is to not send her to someone horrible.

Speaking of Catalina! I notice in her stats is says shes Dara’s child, also shes got blue eyes. Not sure if it will stay or is she not supposed to have blue eyes since the eye colours have been switched xD!

There is already far less romances for male MC who arw into men, and removing one of the options is really not great. There is already some inbalance in that way, like you do not spend as many time with gay RO as with any other.

Well Karif could still be an RO, but not be a long term one or be an RO that leaves and comes back depending on how the story goes. If it’s true to his character, then it wouldn’t make sense if he were to all of a sudden settle down with MC just because they want him too. His goal is to see the world and he has his own wants and dreams that don’t revolve around MC. Yes MC could possibly go with him and have that be an ending(From what Cat said, though I get it that it’s still all WIP) but they aren’t going to be a breaking point of his goals. Each character has their own ambitions and MC is technically just a side character in their story, just as they are in MC’s. Yeah, I can see how it would be a loss to lose a full time RO for gay MCs or straight MCs, but as I said before, if it’s true to the character, then it’s true to the story. I’m not saying he should go entirely, but if it’s what makes him happy then he should do him 
Yes! That’s how I always imagined him too! And I always thought he had the same accent as Sir Gawain. Though let’s hope Karif doesn’t end the same way Gawain did…

I don’t think Karif needs to stay permanently close to the MC in order to be main RO. Love is very different and still could be kept strong even from distances. His sister is also a free spirit and even if not so adventurous I still think that she is also gonna be away from the mc even if not for so long or so frequently. I personally imagine the romance between Karif and the MC as Catherine the great/Potemkin style relationship, maybe having Karif as something like royal adventurer who will go on adventures and slay beasts in my name, writing me long amorous letters of his adventures and how much he misses me and then returning for a few weeks/months for some passionate love 
. You can also have him always being on adventures in the timelapses between chapters so he can always be with the mc when the game takes place.

I love everything you’ve said! Over the course of the day I’ve gone from being “meh” about Karif, to absolutely loving all the potential his story has! I don’t know why, we haven’t learned anything new.
I don’t know if anyone here will get this reference, but I kinda picture him (sorta physically, but mostly character wise) as Sir Gawain, from the show Merlin. Strong and adventurous, passionate and flirty, but also kind and loyal

Prince Karif was main RO and married MC could serve as ambassador or go on paid expeditions to travel the world for the empire as excuse and then he can come back every once in a while and go as he please to see the world?
