Fallen Hero: Retribution release thread! (Book Two) (Spoilers Inside!)

You talking about Harold here? He can still Quit. Nobody forced him to join.

It also doesn’t excuse his behavior. I don’t care how his teammate don’t like him, or don’t include him. I don’t know him from a hole in the wall. He know of us through Videos. We don’t have history with him. He is just like Lady Argent, a new member of the Ranger. You don’t see her being Moppy, and she got Steel breathing down her neck. But no…poor little harold. Cut him some slack…pfff. Weakling.

I think my favorite ending so far has to be revealing yourself to everyone and waking up as your original body in the hospital. If you have Ortega break you out, you effectively have a super hero team in your back pocket, plus you get to tee up the Mortum Ortega poly nicely.

Explain is one thing…Excused is another

You can explain all you want…

I still can’t stand him :stuck_out_tongue:

Fair enough

You can understand where someone is coming from, but at the end of the day…its up to the individual to decide if the explanation is enough to give a character some slack or not.

In my case it just not enough. Keep in mind, of course we are only in Book 2. So maybe he is setup this way for a reason and may surprise us later on. Maybe he’ll grow, or apologize, or behave better. Who knows, for now…he suck like hell.

I’m curious, how many of us are planning to use the regenerator?

  • I’m going to do it
  • I won’t use it

My MC is going to erase the tats, because fuck the farm. However, Malin has hinted there will be a cost to using it. I’ll have to evaluate what that is, but I’m pretty much willing to do anything up to the point of feeding it babies or something. My poor gal is going around wearing three or four layers of clothes in the Los Diablos heat because of these damn things, she deserves a backless sundress.

Yes, my goal right now is finding all the potential most complicated ways in how relationships can end up with all the twists and turns.

Oh hell…What if it erases your telepathic abilities

He suck like hell. Lmao.:joy: I didn’t expect people to go to this extent.
Herald is not my favourite but I have to admit he can rub off the wrong way.
His seemingly naivete and over optimism can be a turn off. Plus, compared to other people (Ortega, Mortum, Steel, Argent) who can be dark and ruthless at times, Herald really comes off like an innocent person who’s got nothing to do with this messy world.
His puppy eyes and hero crush can be annoying at times.
Argent seems like way too better despite being a new hero.

I won’t.

And I will repeat the explanation from years back. I won’t because even if you remove those orange Tattoo that mark you as a regene. It wont be enough. Its akin of changing your skin colors, or your ethnic background to me. I mean, it could work I suppose. You can heal, a shrink will tell you now you are free from your past and you can show your skin off, and wear normal T-shirt and not worry. But it is not something you can just erase easily. Because the dysphoria the MC feel about being born in a Lab, goes deeper than skin. It goes all the way to your DNA, to your soul…to everything you are.

So, for my MC. The main one who is romancing Ortega only. Yeah, I’m not touching that thing.

Because the answer is simple: Removing those Tattoos may make you feel free, but the damage is already done. That machine will not undo what the farm did to you. The Tortures, the traumas, the bad memories, the flashback, the panick attack. It can help, I’m not saying it can’t. But It just not enough to undo what was done…it feel like a Pipe dream my MC is clinging to. So, I won’t use it.

@Yulia51C we know that Lady Argent was a Vigilanté. But did Harold crawl from the cribs or something?

OMG I never even considered that! How would that work if it’s just supposed to work on your flesh, not your brain?

Geez now I’m worried

No, killing the handlers at the farm is what’s going to pay for all of that

…and thats why I’m going to use you as my Patsy! Try it and report back! :joy:

Since when more killing was a cure for depression, self-loathing and suicidales thoughts? Because if it could be prescribed…sign me up!

In epilogue Mortum says that thankfully they do not have moral issues to use regenerator , i wonder what is required to make machine works , even doctor consider this a little 'immoral ’

We know it’s illegal technology, even in the west… what could it be?? Trafficking humans is fine, but we are gonna outlaw this tattoo removal machine? I can’t wait to start building it and figure out what’s going on.

I’m shocked about all the strong negative feelings towards so many of the characters omg. Herald is honestly the only one I wasn’t the biggest fan of, but I really came around to him after going for the romance route.

Still not enough to actually wanna romance him for any other reasons than like…thinking the scenes are interesting and develop his character well. He just feels too much like a kid to me and it makes me feel weird lmao

But there’s so much hate for Herald, Ortega, and Mortum. I’m kinda shocked because I actually love all of the characters a lot

Maybe healty human tissue is required to make it works ? Like the sacrifice wont be ours but someones else ?

To me, Herald is a stan meeting his idol for real and it’s annoying as shit. Ortega is pushy, sometimes a little too much, I could see them rubbing people wrong.

but…

WHO COULD HATE MORTUM? Let me at them
