Still going smoothly. Since release will be on Saturday, I’ll just spend all the time on this, even if it gets “double ready” before that. There’s always small things to improve on.
I wonder what the ending of cyberpolice will look like if the player chose internal affairs as background or a Soldier or any other actually. I also wonder if there will be more dialogue about PC background especially if its Soldier or Internal affairs

Looking better now, but not entirely satisfied yet.
The backgrounds(war veteran, hero, corrupt, nondescript) are less important to the endings, but they’re occasionally relevant to dialogue and other stuff. There’ll certainly be a lot more stuff for them throughout the game, but again, not so much at the end.
The “context”(internal affairs, rookie, retirement job, etc) are far more important to the endings, on the other hand. They’re not as important for conversations, but each will have at least a few “points of interest” here and there that make them more interesting(depends a lot on which it is, obviously internal affairs is the most “involved”, but I’d like for each of them to have a unique scene or two, at least).
If all goes well(which it never does 
), next year will bring us back to the “actual” game, sub plots, “free time paths/scenes”, fleshing out some “default path” scenes, etc. And all of those are places where you might see the aforementioned things.

Edit: Can’t believe I’m having second thoughts in the middle of the night like this, but I’m changing the date once more one week forward. I really want it to be as good as possible, instead of fixing it twice, and with me leaving on the 18th, it’s not like I can do anything else in the week between either(can’t get anything release ready anyway).
So, release will be on the 14th after all, to make sure it’s truly as good as it can be. Really sorry about it, again. I was thinking about it too much and couldn’t sleep. The wait will be worth it, that’s all I can say.

Right, sorry about that. I just really want it to be great, since it’s the first time an update has had some parts that have been thought to be particularly bad, so it’s important to me that I get it right.

It’s possibly I’ll release the update Monday at latest. After tomorrow I’ll be free to work on Cyberpolice stuff until I leave(18th), which means I can address problems and so on until then(also means I have to finish my “real world” stuff tomorrow, which means little time for Cyberpolice).
Not optimal, but if it comes to that, that’s what I’ll do. Just a forewarning.
I love this story! It’s so deep and well written in terms of lore and storytelling. And I also absolutely adore that we can be the most ordinary, boring, unremarkable noobie, but turn to be an incredibly talented police with great mind, sharp instincts and the ability to win against even the most experienced cops. Oh I’m all here for “from zero to hero” trope!
But just one question, if it’s not a spoiler! When can we more actively show romantic interest in Stillwater? I really want to see his reaction!

To be safe I’m putting the date on Monday instead of delaying it every day.
I realize that while I might have the day free, other people might not. Still, I’ll have well over 24 hours to fix problems, so it’ll hopefully be fine. (and theoretically if something has broken, I can fix it even when I’m gone, though it’s a minor hassle. Not that it’s likely for anything to have gone wrong since there’s nothing complex added, but you never know)
