Kuria Mara: have patience! You’ve doubtless already attracted some cannon fodder to the cause – and you’ve only been rebelling for a single season, and the worst season for camping in the wild at that. Winning more slaves, let alone skilled artisans, takes time.
@ChimeraLord, have you played through with Intellect as your top stat?
@Xhandas, interesting speculations on Sarcifer and blood-free theurgy. Don’t get your hopes too high.
If you’re a skeptic, you’ll have options that go beyond just restoring old religions.
The Wards are the main “external security” use of blood, and you’ll get to decide whether the Empire/Shayard can do without them. Xaos Storms will indeed have to be a factor in that decision.
And @idnlun, if people are easily able to outwork all the core values of a value-driven rebellion, I’ll consider myself to have failed. Reality always has tradeoffs.
No rush but just wondering do you know when it will able to buy cuz can’t wait but if I have to I will wait ( I know it will be long time but want to know if anyone knows how long) :-B :(|) :(( :-/
Ricepatrick- if I knew, I’d tell you. Sorry I can’t be more helpful… I’m planning to give some serious time to it in May and June, on top of the limited writing time I have for the next two months.
Lazerith Bloodbane the Open-Handed – called Child-Killer by the Thaumatarchy.
Status: Helot
Self-described Goete and self-taught dabbler in the arcane arts
I have 40 peasants and 7 rusty maces and zero combat skill. Being violent is not good for me =)) it’s not way i could win. I got Tons and tons of food though i was thinking in becoming a smuggler merchant. Really @Havenstone i hardly doubt you found a credible way to make my win a viable possibility.
I was roleplaying it as a devout follower whose passion for anything in the world died when the ecclasiast I looked up to died, so now I just want anything that resembles the Empire or its Canon to die lol. Very bloodthirsty, very entertaining lol. Not really Mara. With smaller numbers, you are probably able to avoid the springtime battle all together lol. In my situation, that probably wont be much of a possibility lol. Good thing them Helots got trained XD.
Just waking the thread up from its nap to cite a few errors.
In the scene where Breden tells you about Poric. In the Noble scene “Naturally, the young man didn’t want to admit to his mother than he was breaching chastity” and the helot version “And the young man didn’t want to admit to his mother than he was breaching chastity”. Than should be replaced with that in both sentences, if my grammar is correct, which to be honest I am not certain I am.
In the scene where you try to convince Eliczka by appealing to her friendship with Zvad “But any friendship between sellswords than survives one of them turning bandit has some power to it.” I think the than should be then, again if my grammar is correct.
I think I remember these errors being mentioned, but better safe than sorry.
When raiding Owlscap pass yourself without Zvad or you and Elery without Zvad he is still mentioned in these sentences. “On the afternoon of the third day, you, Zvad, and four other outlaws retreat visibly into an isolated cluster of boulders” and “You, Zvad, and the four other fighters beat them back from the eminently defensible boulders while your archers continue to pick them off”. I think mentioning Ciels instead of Zvad if you decide to go without Elery’s and Zvad’s help would be nice. I dot’t think it warrants a choice, but that would be a good area to incorporate him if you want add him into the story more. Of course focus on writing forward in the story first then worry about adding into the existing story.
Alanie Leybridge is mentioned as dying even if I frame Galis, and I lose the smuggling option. “It nearly makes up for the loss of Alaine Leybridge, previously your most reliable channel for stolen goods”
Breden is mentioned as being male in one sentence and then female in the next when selected as female. “Breden’s detailed knowledge of the younger helots that he invited to the meetings will be essential. You can’t see the hunt being successful without her help.”
@Beezlebub Havenstone is out on business for most of this month, and doesn’t have internet. I do remember him saying he was planning on giving it some serious time in May and June earlier in this thread a page or so back.
@WinterHawk I think @Havenstone’s dropping subtle hints that Breden’s some sort of shapeshifting demon. Looking forward to the big reveal as the story progresses.
“It clearly goes against the grain, but the crowd heeds your call for restraint, thanks to your mild charisma and the credibility you’ve earned in your political dialogues with Breden and his friends.”
Further evidence of the cursed Tartur demon known as Breden shape-shifting. His/her efforts to disgue themself as a Kyrptast have failed, and the truth, has been revealed!
