Bug (?) and some more comments

I just noticed this, but if you give the Blue Sapphire to someone who is not your RO, the game will assume that you have given it to them during the escape at the start of Chapter 4. Really weird and specific situation, I know, but thought I would point it out.

As an addition to my comments in the other thread, after playing the Archangel route after the Informant one, I had a thought that it was a bit of a missed opportunity to not have the Informant-PC run into some Archangels at the hospital, or at least not be somewhat suspicious about some of the orderlies. Granted, the former would probably be hamfisted, there is no reason for Gabriel to be there, and an interaction between an Informant-PC who has shown their true colours and their former crew should probably be left to a scene where they can truly interact.

Even if it would have been unwise in terms of the story it still feels like a bit of a missed opportunity, which is somewhat of the overarching sentiment after doing the Informant-Ending first.

I also took a glance at the code - do the Sariels not have an RO scene at the end of C4P2? Seems rather unfair; though this is ostensibly the first part of a series, it should still stand up on its own.

I would emphasise that it is ultimately your decision, though you might want to listen to the opinions of your patrons and the public. Myself, personally, I donā€™t really particularly mind. I would encourage not being pressured into anything, especially to the point of being potentially burnt out, since youā€™ve worked for so long on Breach.

So, being an unabashed achievement hunter after I finish up what I consider to be my canon story, it seems like I cannot get any achievements in the ā€˜Finish the game as a ā€¦ the entire timeā€™ or the allegiance change, aside from my first playthrough where I got ā€˜Short Change Heroā€™, (By the way, this story ainā€™t no place for no hero to call home.) categories to register. Iā€™ve gone through the game a few more times, both in regular and New Game+ using no cheats. Anyone else experiencing this?

I think you should focus on what your mind wants @ the moment instead of trying to force your mom into another route. Breach is awesome, Afar Mad World is already looking awesome so apples and oranges for readers. We get an awesome read either ways regardless of whether thatā€™s a complete Afar or a Breach sequel

In the new game+ when do you get the 300k starting cash? Right after joining, or later on? Iā€™m on the planning phase of the first heist atm, but still only have my normal 11k. Any info on this would be fantastic, thanks in advance. This is a very fun story, and has good replay value.

I couldnā€™t agree with you more. I absolutely loved this game. This is by far my favorite and I am absolutely crushed that I have to wait for more. I adore Gabriel and restarted my game at least 5 times trying to raise the right stats to save him from Rook. And at the mention of Rook, I absolutely adored him too! Heā€™s amazing comic relief and he had me laughing, in the best ā€œI wish you were realā€ type of way!

Did anyone else get a game breaking bug that traps you in the stats page with a pop-up notification saying ā€˜The game has updated. Restarting chapter.ā€™?

It is possible that when youā€™re in a middle of a game and you update the app, they tend to do that.

I donā€™t think so, since the game updated (I think it was the fix for the Gregā€™s shop bug?) before I started playing. Unless itā€™s a delayed effect or something?

Does it kept on happening? Thatā€™s the only reason I can think of. I would highly advise emailing these bugs to support if it keeps on happening, it could be the app itself and the author doesnā€™t have control with that.

Yeah, every time I open the app with my current game file. Iā€™ve restarted from the beginning and that seems fine so far, but I was pretty far into the game when it occurred. If it happens again Iā€™ll email support about it. Thank you for your help!

This is actually just an inside joke between me and my co-author.

The only reason why my game is as big or as good as people think it is, is because I listened to the community. It would be a horrible mistake if I didnā€™t ask people what they wanted to see now.

Iā€™ll be doing two polls. One on my patreon page, and then one here in public to see the publicā€™s choice of what I should be focusing on.

Breach: The Archangel Job and Afar: Mad World are two different yet similar games. Theyā€™re two fruits in the same basket, but oneā€™s an apple, the otherā€™s an orange. Like what @MoSalahscores said. It really

There are a few things that can cause you to lose relationship with Kaz before chapter 2. This is also a few bugs which causes the relationship to lower. Iā€™ve found them, and fixed them.

The Sapphire thing is a bug. Hopefully fixed it.

As for the FBI ending (Which encompasses both the informant ending, and the true cop ending) I will be adding a bit more scene which explores more about the FBI side of the story, but later near the end you will get to see a bit of the Archangels. Hopefully I should be able to finish the update for that soon.

As for the coding, there should be a part for the Sariels? Maybe I left it out. Iā€™ll check.

It seems like this is a frequent problem, but only for steam users? Is anyone else experiencing this problem in other platforms?

Iā€™ve developed a temporary fix, so, hopefully that should work.

This bug has been fixed, but I donā€™t know if itā€™s been updated. Iā€™m guessing I would wait until somewhere later in the future so that the players donā€™t have to suffer through restarting a whole chapter.

Yes, you need to not be dating anyone. You can check whether or not youā€™ve triggered a romance with anyone by looking in your stats_screen. If you donā€™t see a ā€œromance partnerā€ anywhere, then youā€™re good.

You also need at least 70% relationship with Gabriel in the newest update.

Umā€¦ Iā€™ve never even encountered that in my life.

This is an update glitch. Everytime the game updates while youā€™re in that scene, the game crashes to that. Iā€™ve added something to mitigate this. Hopefully it should work in the next update.

They keep it. They just donā€™t wear it while on missions. In chapter 4, they (or you) will lose the pendant. But it will come back to you in Chapter 4 Part 2

Thank you very much! I do like to listen to feedback a lot, sometimes about things people like about the game, and also what they donā€™t like. They help me figure out what works and what doesnā€™t, and helps better the game.

Well, thereā€™s a lot you can do to win over her favours through out the hangouts. You can buy her a plasma torch, compliment her, stuff like that. However, one of the biggest factor, is the fact that you have to pick her brother as Sariel.

This is actually a throwback to the gameā€™s testing phase. You can go to the stat screen, and then go back into the game, and your results will change.
