BREACH: The Archangel Job - (Released! | Discussion) New Discord

I too have had my fantasies based off this game. Back in Creative Writing I had to design a plot, and I made a crime-action-romantic tragedy. Got a B+ on it.

As for illegal things, I will admit that I’ve shot cans in places dangerously close to city limits, but that’s about it.

Er, me. :grimacing:

But then, I am one of those insufferable, absolutely positively insufferable goody two-shoes that can’t even muster Renegade in Mass Effect. :flushed: :sob:

Ahem.

Looking forward to that D&D game. :relaxed:

Hands down in my top 3 of any choice of game w.i.p. or hosted game heck top5 of all i.f. I’ve ever played/read. I played through this so many times moving along with each update since last year and I just wanna say keep on with this story till its 100%, and that way I can keep greatly anticipating the full game

Well I find commendable the fact that you finished Breach after so much time has passed! (4 years dude!) I say that because if it were me instead, something of the size of Breach wouldn’t even see the light of day, only in my imagination .

And hey hopefully this whole, experience up until this moment, will make the sequel more easy to put out right? Right?!? Hides in the corner

I sure as hell hope Breach does see the light of day. I’ve gone through my whole life’s ups and down through the making of it

Yes, very much so. Though the sequel will be coming after I finish Afar: Mad World, Breach 2 will be so much more easier to write than the first due to everything already being laid out already and the MISC Engine which contains all of the ChoiceScript coding of all the dice rolls the weapon system, modifiers and all that stuff has already been established.

Hell, I already have the very rough story outline lined up. All I need to do is write it… Which is harder than it sounds, but as always, I’m stubborn enough to go through with it.

This game is amazing bro! 10/10 would buy!
I like how the narrator is talking to the reader, I always loved that vibe. Plus the story is really good, when I k/d 1st policeman I was like “Search the body wtf? Ain’t nobody got time for that!” and then I k/d the second and I was like meh, sure let’s search the body and I found out there was FKIN LOOT!:laughing: and it went on saying his uniform was too small for me and I was like OH NO THE OTHER GUY HAD SAME BODY AS ME!
Meanwhile at the precinct.

I remember my first play of the demo and when I got to Father Murdock to make the mask, I was like: “Oh cool! I’m going to make the one I had on Payday! Nice, nice…” Matte black with a red fleur-de-lis under the right eye, simple but elegant, all that jazz, and them when I meet Michael I went: “Hold up, brotha”

Fucking love this game already.

@Damon_Ronin All I can say is good luck against Michael

When I reached the mask point in my mind I was: ok I’ll make the mask Billy Russo wore in Punisher 2, that was like super badass!

But in my head the dialogue went more like:

  • So how you want your mask?
  • I want it you know, black… and red bits? You know like it’s a skull but it’s all cracked everywhere so the black are the cracks and white for the skull, but black in the background too, bits of red because it’s more scary uhm… I guess, like you know… a mix? :cold_sweat:
  • You want a skull?
  • …ok, I’ll settle for the skull.:disappointed:

And that’s how I ended up with a plain skull mask!

I ended up settling with a simple white mask with a red X over the mouth, 'cause I thought the symbolism was cool. But if I could actually customize the mask 100%, it would have this symbol on it; X_A_N_A_s_Eye_Clean_Outline_by_BulletNick
But red, instead of black, just covering the whole face of the mask.

A lot of people talk about what design they’d want on the mask. Most Archangels have their design display what they really feel deep down inside, some have their design because it looks cool, some have their design because it matches the identity of who they want to be.

“Give someone a mask and they’ll show you who they really are”

Anonymity will bring out your truest of intentions.

… Or, you know, you just love it cause it looks so damn cool.

Bro, I would love to see you master a campaign of City Of Myst about the Archangels! Or even better Blades in the Dark!
You lore seems to be so clear and alive that I’m sure it would be fantastic!

Everyone’s out here with fancy mask designs while I just have a plain black mask. Sometimes I get dangerous and add a sad face.

In Payday 2 I always run the Greek Tragedy mask so in this lovely game, I basically remade it with my own twist in things. Though sometimes when I replay da demo I make a mask that’s the exact opposite to gabriel’s Mask cuz my MC despises the man.

Honestly surprised`my MC aint dead yet with the way I treat him lol.

The design I chose is from a show called Code Lyoko, often referred to as The Eye of Xana, or Xana’s Eye. Anyways, Xana is the main antagonist of the show, and is actually trying to destroy the world. The reason why I I like and admire Xana so much isn’t because he’s evil or anything, but because of what it can represent; freedom, imagination, honour, persistence and intelligence. Most people who have watched the show may disagree with me and say that Xana is only about destruction and power, but I would have to disagree with them. Every plan that Xana comes up with are vastly different from each other, or have been reworked from an old one, showing a degree of of imagination and intelligence. No matter how many times it fails, Xana always tries again, persistence. Even though Xana is evil, it doesn’t change the fact that it seeks freedom from the super computer it is trapped in. And about honour, there was an episode where Xana had to team up with the main characters to gain a mutual goal, by the end of the mission Xana kept the truce it had formed with the main characters until the very end of the episode.

Honour, intelligence, imagination, persistence and freedom, those are the qualities I admired the most about Xana and wish I had in myself.

I’ve never played much outside of DnD, shadowrun, world of darkness, and a few others. But I would definitely love the GM other games and see how it’s like. I’m already curently GMing a game that will be the basis for my next game, Afar: Mad World.

It doesn’t always have to be cool and fancy. The Mask itself is essential because it not only protects your identity, it protects you physically from small arms fire from pistols all the way up to high powered sniper rifles… The design is optional, but it sure does hellp create an identity for your criminal life.

Professionalism above all else. Michael and Gabriel made a rule for each other before becoming Archangels. They knew the vices of the criminal life and they had to make sure to watch each other’s back for them.

Business first, personal only if absolutely necessary. When you become a Gabriel, you have to let go of everything in your personal life and focus on your goal.

Your MC would make a great Gabriel :+1:
