Quiet type breakdowns would work best with my MC. He’d probably punch the stone ground till his knuckles were bloody. Or long to just disappear or run away.
I feel he probably uses monster hunts and combat training as a way to vent his frustrations.
He certainly would love to make that Hayden simping noble kid slip on ice and fall face first into some street mud. But that just might be the jealousy talking.

You know if my MC ever meets that foreign royal that Hayden slept with, things are gonna get icy despite his friendly smile. “Oops, did I freeze your hand in ice with that handshake? Silly me. My power sometimes escapes me.”

Oh, it wouldn’t really be ‘on accident’. 
My MC excels at elemental power. But we do see Eleazor leaving a trail of ice as he walks, himself, so I could see my stoic MC struggling to control his power in highly emotional moments.
Why be angry at that person though? If you gotta be angry at someone it should be Hayden. Seems really pathetic to only go after one party when both party sucks. My mc even told Hayden that their woes are caused by their whorish behavior only for Hayden to deflect and say it was the MC’s fault for being so dense. Lol so much for accountability.
It’s called jealousy, not anger. Lol. My MC isn’t mad. He’s just sulky cause it wasn’t him. He doesn’t think less of Hayden. (Doesn’t consider it “whorish”. They are both guys.) He’d probably get along with Hayden’s foreign friend. But cause he doesn’t know them and they got to be with Hayden, he’s mostly sulking in silence.
Perhaps my Adam Santos might be the odd one out.
If there’s ever a chance to have a serious conversation about it, he’d be all “Who your first was matters less to me than being your last.”
No, my character is vexed by Hayden for an entirely different reason- This newly revealed penchant for treating our interactions like a game for her own amusement, turning it into a joke.
My character is not laughing.
Yep! Who cares how many you slept with, or pretended to have. Just, quit bragging though! That is my only thing for that.
My MC has a hunch that it’s a coverup. Hayden has been putting on an act since the loss of his mom and sister. Moments like outside the rebel town, when Hayden looked more serious and concerned for him hints at that. And as someone who wears a mask of stoicism after losing his own mom, my MC gets it. That is why when the two of them are alone, my MC isn’t afraid to show more emotion or get rough with Hayden and scold him (like at the ruins when Hayden was scaring him). He doesn’t know how many of the rumors about Hayden are true…he’s just worried for him (and a little jealous).
He gets it, but is also frustrated with Hayden for not being more honest with him. Or not having more concern for his own life. Or causing my MC undue worry. The idiot.
I guarantee that when he gets to town, if he finds Hayden flirting recklessly, he’ll dragged him off by the collar of his royal garb.
Yeah, it’s the bragging that’s trashy, not the actions. The actions were a) clearly out of protest and b) with someone he liked and trusted and c) meant to mislead as to exactly what, how much and who it had been gone on with.
But the bragging is necessary to spread the rumors to ward off the suitors.
Also, Hayden bragged only after you bring the rumors up if I remember right. He was slightly unsettled that you heard the rumors, then he hid behind a confident bragging smile.
I wonder why the mc is not also being married off or have suitors. I mean their the only heir if they die the Darians are finished.

If recall in the University part of demo (it will be readded.) The father mentions why he didn’t force marriage. He also had his preferences to whom should fake romance to. If mention Hayden, he got pissed.
Yeah, it’s funny how that last update talks up the sheer political fallout of a Darian/Petrus union…but Dad at uni was like…here is Cecilia.
My MC looks forward to going behind Dad’s back and dating Hayden again.
