And on a small note:
On the blog Iāve gotten feedback that the game feels to lack choices and is a bit info dump-y.
If you play as a red dragon thatās on purpose. Not letting the whelp have much agency but instead keep talking over them and prioritizing other things is meant to feel suffocating, I hope this comes across better once I got the other paths in ^^;

Tbh, I have seen longer stuff per page. On my phone nothing exceeds over 3 scrollings, (if you know what I mean with that)
But then again I never saw it that way, so maybe I have lost what to much is. As I do Like getting to learn more about a world. And world building in general. And for me at least it felt natural the way they told us about the world. As it makes sense we donāt know much as an just freshly Hatched dragoon.
And with how our āparentsā treat us. (Alerhon best grumpy dad.) Itās really concise the feeling of they just dumbing all that on you.

The asker felt thereās too little for the players to do (lack of choices), though as said, thatās on purpose.
Kassias would probably scold the whelp for interrupting the tale, and I think it would also take away from the punch of it all being on purpose to force Alerhon to tell what happened to Ferhon and Salbri.
Weāll see what it feels like when other paths are available (you will always get that history lesson from Astia, regardless of flight)
On a different note for those that missed it:

Writing a bit of noodle incident in the green path when you encounter a dryad at the Grove.
And Iām trying to decide whether or not her Queen is the Queen of Elms or the Queen of Swallows. The latter would open a quite distinct reason why Alerhonās in trouble with said Queen, though am I that immature?

Make it a choice? Then those of us that are definitely that immature can have the joke and those that like to pretend weāre not can save it for a playthrough we donāt tell anyone about.

Canāt really make it a choice, as the noodle incident is that said Queen still holds a grudge with Alerhon over something heās done thousands of years back.
I think Iāll go with the immature bit first, and wait for feedback :3

Small Status update:
Being bothered by migraine (squished nerve in neck), so I might not have ch1 done by the weekend, but I got ~3k words for the green path, ~2k for black and blue, and a few hundred for gray.
Goal is to have around 5k per path in ch1 + Astiaās history lesson + being shown around the Court by Vaelias. so ch1 might clock in at around 30k-50k?

@MeltingPenguins i uavent finished update yet but playing through the red portion right now i cant help but feel that kassises is the traitor and over time is corrupting astia. Just a thought and something i wanted to put to paper so to speak lol

for myself multiple things stick out to me as for those of his world here is some thibgs that may or may not be a thing. Was he allready a astiaās consort? If so then thats a blind spot to her a weakness to be exploited an the very fact that he is the only scout to return? That should make it suspicious yet he spins a clever yarn that convinces the red queen and thus holds sway of others. An what better way to ensure this false hood doesnt get found out? You have the two leaders killed of the blue and black an is it beleibeable that no one suspected them? Includeing are dear elder black?
Of course that could be nothing yet its a thought afterall but i currently lack a ton of info lol so just suspicion and i can imagine the turmoil lf the time and he would be perfect tool for the abyssals to claim there ultimate victory from the throes of defeat.
Again just some thoughts lol an of course if it is all a ruse and lie then its had many many years to take root as a false truth in the masses. To say nothing in aiding in the hiding of means to end ashenmaw

To answer the questions:
Kassias only became the queenās consort after he was the only scout to return, thatās what got him her attention. Others had noted that something was off with Ferhon and Salbri beforehand, but those two always had alibis and explanations as for what was going on that rose suspicion in the first place.
As for Alerhon: This will all come up down the line, but he did suspect foul play, and has his reasons to question things :3

Lol i could go on but maybe at a later time no matter what the truth of the world is and weather it matters at all you have a good story brewing so will have my eye on the progress of it when i can.

Also, I should say a bit more about the game:
The plan is that you form an adventuring party with the ROs and scour the world for, well, adventures, trying to uncover knowledge about the Assembly. Which means thereāll be an even mix between adventuring in dragonform and mortal guise
